This is going to get interesting. I always thought Mattel never cared about Mitch and other companies because of different figures. But now Mitch and Mattel are doing a Sherri... I think Mattel's Sherri is a big miss -- but the proportions of this one by Mitch don't seem great Mattel also made a Bulldog and Mitch made 5 or 6 of him. |

Sorry if this has been mentioned before, but the release of the Diana Hart figure and the desire we all have for an Owen figure got my wheels spinning. Since Mitch is in with the Hart family to some degree, how would we feel about a Bruce and Keith Hart 2-pack with their Survivor Series 1993 attire? It would be multi-faceted because sicko completists like me would actually want those figures, plus Keith could be used as an Owen custom. His Survivor Series 1993 singlet is basically just the same as Owen’s. Boots are different, but maybe Mitch could just make them black. And then all you have to do is swap on an Owen Hasbro head. It feels like we’ll never truly get an Owen retro from that era, but that could be the closest thing to it IMO. Interesting idea, I wouldn't mind it if one of them could be used to make an Owen. If the body and skin tone would "happen to fit" the Owen Hasbro head. I don't think that look was too far off of what he wore early on as a heel. |

I hope the "trust me" text is a hint that he's going for heel Jake over babyface Jake. Heel Jake was sorely missing from the original Hasbro line. If he could get him in his blue or black flame tights with a king cobra accessory, that would be amazing. I so hope we get the blue or black flames heel version right away. I wouldn't be surprised if we have to wait a bit and we get a '96 revelations or WM8 version first. I had hopes he would nail a propper '90-'91 Macho King but still waiting. I would think heel Jake would be the natural first choice, I'd hope for blue flame tights personally, I think they're the most toyetic and iconic. I'd love a 96' return Jake, but idealy he'd need to be a bit thicker and should have the vest/shirt molded on. But the heel Jake body, I could see getting at least a couple repaints out of. |

But the quality is in line with the newer figures |

Just listened to MWFP, guys made vague reference to the Sherri, saying it's illegal and made similar comments about Jake. Just curious though, when do they record nowadays? Was shocked that they recorded after the Sheri dropped. Thought they always did like Monday night or Tuesday?

As long as Sherri's estate is getting paid, and I'm sure they are, then I don't see the issue. They should just let WWE's legal team deal with it, if it's genuinely illegal.

Not for me, but the Sherri is pretty impresive. Zombie went on a rant against him in the MWFP group under some guy's post about it and the legality of it. How does he know for sure wether or not Mitch is doing it legally? If it's an in stock figure, it must have been in the works over a year ago then right? How does anyone know the specifics of Sheri's legends deal? Has Mattel been making tons of figs of her over the past couple years? One thing I thought though, was I thought WWE owned the name Sensational Sheri, thought he'd of had to put Sherri Martel on the packaging maybe? I know in WCW they couldn't call her that. Zombie and Kanik are in the same business, producing the same type of product and working with the same pool of talent. They too are looking to make figures of many of the same characters. As such, they would have already looked into some of these names and know that some of them can’t legally be made because of previously existing contracts. That’s how they’d have insight into the legality of some of what Mitch is doing. um they are in the same business as Mitch, what makes you think they know more?? |

Steering this thread back on track a little… My Grapplers and Gimmicks collection is growing faster than anyone else’s but all companies are causing my collection to expand rapidly. Right now I am cleaning up my office/toy room and trying to decide how to display my collection. Out of curiosity, do you guys mix everything together or does each company get its own dedicated space? i mix all mine up they are displayed in federation by era! |

Yeah it’s Monday night they record, I think someone was spilling the Sherri news all over the shop because I found out about it too as did some people I chat to on here. I would assume the Majors knew about this before reveals which would explain the mentioned of this figure before the official reveal |

Right now I am cleaning up my office/toy room and trying to decide how to display my collection. Out of curiosity, do you guys mix everything together or does each company get its own dedicated space? I have a full Hasbro collection loose, I display them in series order in a detolf. I treat the new age retros as their own separate collection but I display all the brands together, I simply display them in order of the date of the attire - the only exception is the top row is the orange card series complete together. Overall, I find displayed in attire order, the Zombies, G&G, Epic and a few Mattel display fine together. I have fewer mattels as I like them the least and to be honest I’m hoping the other companies make replacements for most of them, I’ll be getting rid of the Mattel Vader when Epics comes along as I’ve no doubt it will be better. |

You’re absolutely right about that. What I would like to have a better understanding of is what legal issues you foresee for the companies doing everything right. Painting that picture would help us all better understand what is at stake here.

Theres merch of them on the WWE shop, he should be aware of that. He's a business owner, he should do some due diligence before doing any act of business. I did, thats why I didn't agree to sign them. Also he was informed about the issue with his first figure with the godfather. He legit ignored it and doubled down with papa shango figure. |
