Since it's Halloween, I figured I'd ask.
Has anyone else ever dressed up as a wrestler before, be it for Halloween, a convention, a show, or whatever? If so, did you get recognized? How hard was the costume? Did you meet the person you were cosplaying? And, if you feel like it, do you have any pictures?
Just curious. Thought it's be a fun thing.
For the record, I dressed up as Kevin Owens this year for Halloween, and yes, I got recognized at the coffee shop.

Yep. I dressed up as Ole Anderson when I met Jim Cornette a few years ago. He got a chuckle out of it. I'll try to post a picture later this week.
There's a wrestling con I plan on attending in May. Tully, JJ Dillon, Baby Doll & the Rock & Roll Express are scheduled to attend. I plan on going as Ole again & will poo-poo everything.

I had my KO cosplay on today for Halloween and the lady at the coffee shop not only recognized me, she told me that a few years back, she and her boyfriend dressed as CM Punk and Paul Heyman for a Halloween party. It was pretty cool.

It's supposed to be a high of 62 today here.
My kneepads are supposed to show up.
I might actually put on my Halloween costume and go out and take pictures. Although you lot would probably laugh at some random fat chick cosplaying Kevin Owens, although I did have multiple people get really excited about it on Halloween itself.

I've done Piper a lot at comic cons, ren faire, etc. It was always fun and took a lot of pictures. I made Jim Duggan kinda tear up once, he gave me a huge hug and called me "Pipes". Road Warrior Animal talked to me for at least 20 minutes about Roddy once and Jim Cornette also loved it.
The best was the comedian Brian Posehn once stopped a signing he was doing and climbed over his table to chase me down and said how much he loved Roddy and then he took a picture with me. LOL

LOL Brian Posehn is freaking hilarious. My favorite quote from him: "If you're going to talk to me, it better be about Star Wars, horror movies or heavy metal. If it isn't, just go away."

Crow Sting 25 years ago for Halloween. Teenagers on the streets knew who I was. Adult males answering doors thought I was the Crow, and adult women answering doors thought I was an evil clown.
Around the same I went out as one of The Headbangers (Thrasher). Teenagers on the streets knew who I was and nobody answering doors had a clue.
And also around the same time I went out as Shaggy 2 Dope (Insane Clown Posse) and everybody just thought I was an evil clown.

I was bald, shirtless and drunk once, and I got bad knees. I think that is a decent Stone Cold cosplay.

I was the one answering the door and nobody who came to the door knew who I was. But there was actually some adults out on the street who shouted across the yard about it.

Crow Sting a couple years ago for Halloween. Been asking my wife if I can shave my beard, cut my hair and dye it blonde then finish it off with a big ol neck tattoo but she's not buying in.

I've dressed up as wrestling personalities for Halloween twice.
The first time was as I.R.S. That went over as well as you'd probably guess. Just liked like a shlup in dress clothes and a tie, while carrying a briefcase.
The second time was as Paul Bearer. When I answered my door to give out candy, one kid went "Wow, Paul Bearer!" He turned around to his dad, who was on the sidewalk. "Dad, look who it is!" His dad waved at me and said "Hi, Gomez!"

When I was at school I went as Kane. My dad and stepmum painted a black vest and joggies with all the flames and even did cut out parts with the mesh, plus the mask set that they got through a guy in England (which, this is just around the eBay becoming a big thing time so they had to go through the local collectable shop to find someone that had it). Finished off with a leather glove too!
I'm sure I have like actual photographs of me somewhere in the house, I need to try and find them. It was 2001 so I was only 7 at the time, but the costume was badass!
