Is it falling behind if you never can catch up? I've always been picky and choosey and given retail in Australia is basically either Target or Toyworld and that's for regular Elites and basics only, I stalk Amazon and few other online stores waiting for figures to hit my price window. Just last week ordered a Legends Brother Love off Amazon for AU$46 (regular Elites retail for AU$35-40 in the two stores mentioned, so I tend to jump on any other lines if they're a figure I'm keen for and it's below AU$50). Still hasn't shipped though, I guess it will move at some point.
But has been pleasant to find a few figures at retail in recent weeks - both Steiners, Steiner Jr, Dirty Dom, Solo, Dakota, Toxic Attraction... pretty much ticked off all the ones I'm keen for (didn't realize how much the Dakota basic needed an upgrade). Would like Io and Hayes but not essential. I collect several other lines outside of wrestling so I'll never be all in.
I suspect we won't see any more Elite waves for a while, tends to be that way. We'll randomly get wave 110 or something. Weirdly, I posted in an Aussie Facebook group that Rick Steiner and chase Bron were at my local Target. I have regular Bron, not liking the chase anyway, and Rick already - they are still there a week later. It's damn weird as Elites tend to disappear in a puff of smoke as soon as they're on shelves, yet these remain... makes me think this wave hit here plenty, people have secured theirs already.

Maybe write a list as this has helped me. I certainly avoid just going to the store regularly to check as more often than not, I leave with something that while I may be happy in that moment, I did not necessarily need that figure or want it prior to me seeing it. All order & preorders I never feel bad about as its not random. I recently stopped searching through Target endlessly unless I am searching for something specific. So for last week, it was an intentional Target trip to secure the Legends Greatest Hits. I do see 105 is popping up but honestly I am not into that set nor do I truly want anything BUT if I were to go in the store & see them, I'd need up leaving with something. Like I said, a list reminding you of what you actually want is helpful. Collecting is strange......... I actually have a WWE Figures folder on my phone for new/forthcoming figures... so whenever I see a new figure (or figures) I want, I just download the photo or take a screenshot of it and put it in the folder. I also have folders for Star Wars/Sci-fi Figures and Superhero Figures... one day, I might actually get 'round to buying some of them 🥴. |

I feel this a bunch. Money has been tight lately, so much so that I can't keep up with bills let along figures. I'm holding out hope that I can snag some of my needed fills off RSC for the holiday season but I'm falling so far behind because I just can't afford the figures I want at the current prices. Back when Elites were 21 bucks and Ultimates were 30 at preorder, I could afford them, not so much anymore. I wanted to preorder all of Elite 106 and most of Elite 107, but I just can't afford it. And I never did get ahold of RA Torrie. I'm terrified I'm gonna start missing out on figures I need for my collection and be in a Toxic Attraction situation again where it's only sheer dumb luck that I manage to score them, if I ever do. Yes I know what you mean. This is where I don't agree with people like Mr "gotta get a deal"! When you are relying on figures to be put at a lower price to have a chance to be able to get them, someone like him takes this off the table just because he came across it first and the price was too good to pass up on even though he already has six of them. I don't see the purpose of getting six of the same figures just because you "gotta get a deal" and then going online to showcase it just because you need to fill up five seconds of content. Are you talking about a certain Mr KP? I can't stand that guy. He's so full of himself. Just disagree with him and set him straight then watch him try a snide remark and block you. He doesn't respect peoples opinions in the comments. He will acknowledge a hater before his own loyal fanbase because he "thinks" he's so smart. |

In the real world today it's easy to fall behind and miss an opportunity for tons of figures. And Apparently, I found out i'm not the only one who thinks this of the annoyance on YouTube Kyle Peterson. It feels good to know people are catching on to exposing this pathetic excuse of an human being for who he really is. He is finally getting his receipt from me. Stop writing checks your A$$ can't cash with me and the woke public who are catching on to these Youtubers putting their ug mugs all over the internet. And expect nothing but love for acting fake. He hated how I knew more about Goldberg than him and he got all bent out of shape and hurt in the feelings department. Now your next!!! Should have played with your Ultinate Warriors, not me pal.

I've never found him as abrasive as you guys, and watch his videos on occasion. I guess I haven't watched enough because I didn't realize he was "gotta get a deal" buying multiples of things.
I will say I was surprised when I realized what he didn't know about non-WWF and even pre- golden era WWF/WWWF. I was genuinely shocked that someone who seems to present himself as the Youtube Mr. Wrestling Knowledge surrounded by 5,000 figures got things wrong that I, someone who hasn't really watched wrestling in 27 years knew. But really I shouldn't be too surprised. I'm beginning to realize more and more that a lot of people presented as experts by Youtube or even ESPN are really people who specialize in marketing themselves rather than knowledge.

Well he has the entire Elite collection, which he often reminds us. He has the complete Masters of the Universe classics collection, more than two rooms to display his figures in. So he obviously has money. So why does he have to post these pick ups that he got at dirt cheap/clearance prices to try to hammer home his point that "you gotta get a deal."? To me it makes him look cheap and flash. We have probably all been there before. Where we come across that new elite figure but we need to save for more pressing matters. And then that figure eventually goes on clearance, but we still can't get it, because people with his thought process of "oh I already have six of these, but it's only $9 I just can't pass up on it because I gotta get a deal" snatches that figure off the table. |
