I miss Tuesday mornings at schools talking about Raw and Nitro It was pencil sharpner talk for sure. Even the teachers were fans. I remember when wrestling t-shirts were banned. Which was shortly after me & another kid gave some sorry SOB a double back suplex on grass. Right in view of the principal. It was a nuts move to do looking back. Since the kid taking it had no clue about tucking his chin. The principal ran over screaming in disbelief: "YOU COULD HAVE KILLED THAT CHILD." Good times, good times.

I blame Miss Betty. All she had to do was put the tape in the slot by the entrance... Did any of you have video stores that actually participated in the "Free Gift with Rental" promotion they always hyped on the 90s Coliseum Video releases? None of the bigger places did, but Baltic Video on Elizabeth Ave in Linden actually did. They were the best spot for older tapes. We got all kinds of stuff for renting the same 6-7 videos over and over throughout the years including a Ludvig Borga door knocker. I can already feel the jealousy radiating through my phone screen. yep little place by me called Nancy's Video. she used to let me have all the coliseum video extras when she ordered tapes.

Yea in 5th or 6th grade the principal banned wrestling shirts also or any catchphrases.

Nothing like walking in video store and seeing these... Our local video rental place had a spattering of WWF cassettes. Never any AWA, NWA or anything else. When I asked once, the guy got surly with me & said "These cost over $100 each. It takes a long time to make my money back on them." I guess he had a point.

If so ever been to the defunct Pennsauken Mart? They had a video store in there called ''Movie Mania''. Old wrestling tapes for just 10 bucks at one time. I remember buying 10 at a time

But I didn't have a car or know of any other video stores. Plus, back then you had to buy a membership & renew it every year. I think it was absurdly expensive for the time (early 80s, $80/year). I did end up finding a guy in Rockaway in the 90s who would sell bootleg house shows. Terrible quality. $25 each.

Nothing like walking in video store and seeing these... Those were the days... we only had WWF tapes around here but usually quite a varied selection. I seem to remember annoying my dad going to the local video rental store on Friday nights, when I was about 7-10 years old, due to the time I took to choose one video. Unfortunately I knew I would only have time to watch one tape over any given weekend, otherwise I would have chosen more, and been out of the shop sooner.

Nothing like walking in video store and seeing these... WrestleMania 1 was the first video I ever bought from a video store.
