Am I the only one that thought that new Ringside tag team was going to be the Steiners?
What’s going on? Have they lost them already? It’s very odd that we haven’t had Ultimate Editon New Gen Steiners yet. We’ve been wanting them for years.
Anyone else confused why they’re going slow on these?

It is surprising that one of the most request teams have not had a single render shown so far. You think they would have fast-tracked these guys, especially with how Scott can go off at any time. And now, Rick too... Hopefully we'll see something tomorrow.

You asked where they are… We don’t have those answers. If Steve/Bill/Mattel wanted that question to be answered, it would’ve been addressed. Much like the Macho Man situation. Me (personally) am not confused by them “taking their time”. These are action figures. If we get Steiners, that’s great… if we don’t, oh well. Gone this far without them and I haven’t keeled over yet. These questions would be better suited being asked the Steve’s Q&A thread. Which they no doubt will be by the end of the hour. |

My guess is that they were banking on the Nitro Arena to fund and didn’t want to do another UE Scott until after it shipped so none were in development for the immediate future.

Truthfully, I think the issue boils down to the WCW crowdfund not being funded, and the plan having been that being the Ultimate Scott.
Also, I think it's a lot more likely we get tag team Steiners as Elites (either in the mainline or Legends line). My bet is we see them at Mania.

It's just how Mattel usually does business, gives us some mid figure, people buy them to plug holes in their collection, then later on give us better updated versions which people also buy. Solo Sikoa comes to mind. Just gotta play the long game and hope they are still under contract. |
