With proper build this wouldve been great. What couldve been... This would’ve been one of the best WM matches ever... it really would’ve been huge.

Not so sure...many have said(including Animal & Ax) they 2 teams had zero chemistry and their style clashed like crazy. this is probably why their BIG televised throwdowns were six mans and SSeries.

I'm surprised to hear that tbh. The match would still be special, tbh even if it didn't meet expectations. It's a real marquee match.

If the big showdown at Mania happened then yeah def give em an anything goes match and just let em beat the tar outta each other. LOD go over and Demo rides off into the sunset in a way better ending then what they got

7 is not the best mania but it’s a personal favorite for me. It is one of the better early manias. Lots of good overlooked matches.

Wrestlemania VII has some special moments though.
- The Rockers finally getting their first Wrestlemania victory - The Nasty Boys vs. Hart Foundation match - The Undertaker's Wrestlemania streak humble beginning - The Warrior and Savage kicking out of each other's finishers (which only Hogan ever did) - Elizabeth and Randy Savage getting back together on screen - Andre the Giant having his last Wrestlemania appearance helping Boss Man clear out the Heenan Family - Virgil getting a win over Ted DiBiase - Hogan taking that vile chair shot that "busted" him open
I don't hate Wrestlemania VII. I feel it was better than Wrestlemania VIII and IX.

WM7 a personal favourite of mine! There was a grittier feel to this compared to other WM”s (and other PPV”s) up to that point.
1991 was such a great year for WWF Events. Focussing on the big four, hard to think of a better, more consistent year for PPV’s.

Every PPV event that year had something unique to it. It felt more "edgier" than 1990 or 1992 would feel. From either hardcore matches, to kicking out of finishes, to cuss words being said on the microphone, to weapons, to even blood, it was just a really fun years that kind of gets overlooked I feel at times.
