Now that some of us got our 106 Jimmy Uso, the first fig with the removable hair, what are your thoughts?
I’m not quite sold. It was a bit of a pain to get the other hair I wanted on to where I think it looks okay, and honestly, it still sits kinda funny on his head.
Also, i moved the lei around his neck slowly and the default hair popped right off.
The real test, for me, will be seeing if this hair stays on while he sits in the bin with the rest of the figs.
Anyone else have any thoughts so far?

Doink already had removable hair. Andre too.
If it works, it works don't force it to reduce headscans is my take on it

For me, it just depends on how they do it and when they do it. In the case of Jimmy Uso this time, I was really hoping they would include an alternate head so that those who want to could pop it on one of the more recent past Jimmy's that had the bad hair style (like the RSC exclusive Ultimates) to make up for that.

There are a few options I can see working really well, the biggest of which is that Warrior needs some running / shaking the ropes hair, and it doesn’t need a new scan.
Also, if they ever get the rights to Flair back, you could release the exact same figure -say, red trunks and boots - to represent multiple eras just by changing the hair. JCP longer hair, WWF ‘91 run shorter hair, and WCW bowl cut.

I like all of those ideas and hope we get them one day soon…but I just think they can and should achieve it with the extra heads, not a fan of interchangeable hair, personally.

I think it’s cheap and looks bad unless it’s for someone with a visible wig like Doink

I didnt hate it as much as I thought I would. That being said, Id still MUCH rather prefer swappable heads. I fear at some point the tightness of how the hair fits into the grooves of the head is going to lose shape and we're going to be dealing with a bald Uce long term.

If they sign Matt Cardona again it should have removable hair with Brown ink pad underneath. Then you can stamp your ring with a brown spot when you powerbomb him.

For adult display purposes, I guess it looks fine, but man that would kill the play experience for me as a kid if the hair is constantly falling off with every bump.

It ruined the UE Doink for me personally. I can’t move him around much at all without the hair falling off. I hope it stays on better for the upcoming figures.

I just hope they continue to expand the concept further for accessories like hats, bandanas, and etc. like they're doing with Nash.

I think it has the potential to provide better looking headgear/hats/helmets/headbands/etc...
Hats, particularly a "baseball cap" style always look pretty bad, they are too thick, and don't sit on hair properly...it can definitely work in these situations, and be an improvement. I don't want to see it end up being a way to skip out on alternate head sculpts though

Don’t really care for it too much, unless it’s for figures who might not have long hair atm. I’m interested, but the problem is a lot of Mattel’s hair molds are made of a harder rubber/plastic than for let’s say Jakks. When you turn their heads it’s slightly more difficult so I’m only assuming the hair pieces might not look so well when swiveled. It would of been perfect for a WCW Piper where imo his iconic look was the mid length hair and goatee, which would give you two options. Same with Bret, you could have the hair dangling look and then non covering.

Hornswoggle came with removable hair piece in his 2 pack. It was good enough that it didn't look removable.
I thought they would use that technique for a Elite Kurt Angle. A bald and hair piece, with ear protector.

If it’s a less expensive way to give us multiple look options and/or molded headwear like crowns, bandanas, hats, etc then I’m all for it.

I’m really hoping that if we get old-school blue trunks Andre in Coliseum Collection, there are separate head sculpts for short and long hair, not the wig like we’ve seen in the past, or even this new technique.

Have zero use for it. Just another thing that's going to fall off these figures because of bad design. It's not necessary, we already get enough useless body parts with these figures instead of actual accessories. Now this is just going to replace extra heads/scans
