The Monday Night Wars line. For a guy like me who’s kind of given up on collecting and focusing on that era exclusively, it’s music to my ears. It’s also a final nail in the coffin for figures I want and attires that I’ve asked for. In a way, bittersweet.

Legends Greatest Hits - although I don’t have them yet, these figures are a perfect upgrade. I have meanwhile stopped collecting Elites in general and will focus on Greatest Hits only.
Mattel Creations in general - the Cyber Sale was huge. Coliseum Collection too. Just make the regular Ultimates available in MC and you have a perfect shop.
WWE Superstars - this line has become a favorite of mine.
The announcement of a retro ring at Christmas.

Male basics finally getting ball jointed hips like the women’s basics have had since the beginning of the line is a tremendous leap forward.
They got me contemplating buying a Top Dolla basic for goodness’ sake!

Overall, probably the new leg articulation on the basics - plus the ability to swap their hands and heads. If announcing the MNW line counts, I would include that (it may be next year's disappointment if Walmart doesn't improve its online ordering and retail availability).

For me, my favorite things this year were the Amazon 2 packs. Taker/Gooker and the WrestleMania X set even though it hasn’t released yet. Hope Mattel continues to release sets like this because it scratches that nostalgia itch perfectly.
Also, the return of Defining Moments and debut of Coliseum Collection is fantastic too.

I like the Coliseum Collection and the Taker/Gooker 2-pack. Gooker was hit at Thanksgiving dinner on the buffet table and will be for years to come. Deadman Undertaker UE is one of my top favorite figs of all time.
I also like the retros we've gotten this year! I'm super pumped to see more.

Harley getting not only rereleased but upgraded was a big deal for me. It shows just how rare the OG was because that new Harley moved pretty fast. Yeah maybe people lost $75 or more off the OGs value but that ain't my problem.
I do like the increase in ultimate releases. It's already the bulk of my wrestling figure purchases anyway so the more releases there are the better my odds are for it to be what remaining desired looks I want in UE form. Bring on 2024

Seeing a Scott Steiner figure! For years, the rumor would be that we wouldn't get a figure of him ever because of his thoughts about WWE. It was exciting to see an Elite of him! I hope Mattel puts the "pedal to the metal" and releases more Steiner brother Elites going forward.

I wrote on an earlier post about only getting one figure this year but that was a lie as I completely forgot about Harley Race.
I purchased Harley Race to add to my WMIII roster. Amazing figure and such a wonderful addition to my specific collection.
And, of course, Legends Ken Shamrock.
I don’t need much, don’t ask for much but these 2 figures were absolutely for me. Thank you, Mattel!
