Steve literally said on that one podcast it's "1 ULTIMATE FROM THE RA ERA" Like I don't think half these people even fit the bill... Macho, gorilla... The list goes on and on 😂 It’s Floyd Mayweather

I’m beginning to think it’s Mike Tyson. And if he sells out rapidly when Ali seemingly can’t, it’s a little sad for Ali fam/fans- but also telling of age and demographics (I think he would sell much better than Ali, primarily because most who would buy figures probably know much more about him- boxing, wrestling, pop culture, than they do Ali at this point— as in, “golden era (and earlier)” may be closer to aging out of the collector market).

The list goes on and on 😂 When did he say RA era? What I recall is that he said that it was a single Ultimate Edition figure and it’s fun and he thinks people are gonna like it.

He also did the people’s eyebrow during the questioning of this figure so maybe another hint?

Mattel loves to rerelease valuable figures, and if it’s RA timeframe, there’s only one that comes to mind.
It’ll be UE SES Punk. Mark my words.

Fanny pack Rock? Gotta be, right? That's some Big Dwayne Energy. With or without a can of ZOA?

I have a feeling that is what it is - fanny pack Rock. I would get that.

Dude, an UE SES Punk would be incredible. Somehow I never thought of that figure being a possibility since he's returned.
I would love an updated version of that figure...with better head sculpts, articulation and the True FX!
But they might save that for the mainline or a store exclusive.

CM Punk returned the end of November. Literally signed that day. SDCC is the end of July. There is absolutely no chance in hell they’re scrapping whatever they originally had planned, starting over from scratch, get the proper approvals, fast track production, and have figures in hand ready to distribute in under 8 months.

If the SDCC exclusive is one figure, AND it is a Rock figure, I'll only be satisfied if it's DOOM Rock or 2 In 1 Derek Thompson (Hockey Gear/Tooth Fairy). *wink*
But in all seriousness, I kinda have a suspicion it's a movie Rock.

The DM is estimated only about 2 months after SDCC. I don't think it's Punk but 8 months isn't out of the equation for him. They've practically got all the parts molds already

I hope it's the Rock ... so I don't have to track it down.
If it's Suburban Commando Hogan, then I'll have to pay whatever it costs directly thru Mattel or on the secondary market.

They've practically got all the parts molds already SDCC is also a hard deadline. It has to be ready by the show. That leaves zero room for error. They’re not gonna give themselves that much pressure. Especially for a figure that doesn’t fit the SDCC formula of recent offerings and would better suited for a mainline release.

It’ll be a relief for me if it’s not Hogan, since then I won’t have to worry about it. But I bet it’s Hulk. Given that it’s the 40th Anniversary of HULKAMANIA in the WWF/WWE.
