They can't pull off the tucked in shirt.
It would look silly with a cloth shirt.
It would look cheap as hell if it was a painted torso.
Bury it in the elite line.
Don't waste another ultimate like they did to KO and his painted torso.

I remember what a debacle Ultimate Sgt. Slaughter was. Whatever the SDCC figure is, I hope it’s something I don’t want.

I’m beginning to think it’s Mike Tyson. And if he sells out rapidly when Ali seemingly can’t, it’s a little sad for Ali fam/fans- but also telling of age and demographics (I think he would sell much better than Ali, primarily because most who would buy figures probably know much more about him- boxing, wrestling, pop culture, than they do Ali at this point— as in, “golden era (and earlier)” may be closer to aging out of the collector market). I think there's a difference in the collector market versus the nostalgia market. Either way, I will eat my hat if Mattel releases a Mike Tyson figure. |
