have mattel said they're looking for crossover appeal? i know the past few years point to that, but they did isacc yankem as a SDCC exclusive in 2017

have mattel said they're looking for crossover appeal? i know the past few years point to that, but they did isacc yankem as a SDCC exclusive in 2017 Technically Yankem was TRU’s exclusive for the event and not Mattel’s. However, they did have Taker and Shockmaster but after taking a hiatus from making an exclusive for a few years their strategy has been figs with mainstream/pop culture appeal starting with Slim Jim Macho. |

I highly doubt it’s WM12 HBK. SDCC exclusives need to create some mainstream buzz even if it’s a mainline fig. No one is gonna be talking about a normal ass Shawn Michaels fig. Rock, Austin, Hogan, and maybe Cena alone could possibly generate some attention but HBK would not move the needle at all. I don't think Muhammed Ali moved the needle at all - nobody seemed to care, and I'd say it's questionable if Mr. T moved the needle either.... I'm not sure what else it would be with these hints. |

So either Kyle doesn’t know what spoiling means or he threw a curveball with his hints. |

The back and forth on "crossover appeal" is kinda funny. Ali is one of the most recognizable names on the planet and here we are a year later you can get his SDCC exclusive for like 35% off. At least there was a sale last week, idk how long it lasted, but the Ali set is still available.
The last few SDCC exclusives that were wrestlers in some form of wrestling attire sold out within minutes.

He zip-lined to the ring, lost the match to Seth Rollins on his birthday (April 1st) and accidentally put his buddy KSI (in PRIME bottle costume) through the announce table.
Can’t think of anyone else currently involved in WWE, apart from The Rock, with as much crossover appeal as Logan Paul.

Our luck, they'll go back to the old production number and wrestlers will go back to selling out almost instantly |

Maybe it’s HBK as Hulk Hogan. Kyle did go on a spiel on how it’s not Hogan and how it woulda been a perfect time to do Hogan since it’s the 40th anniversary. Maybe that was a clue as well. And the heartbreak and zip line was a hint at Shawn but not specifically WM12. Makes more sense to do that than WM12 IMO.
