Hypothetical idea - If we aren't getting the big guns - Cyndi Lauper or Jesse Ventura as the SDCC exclusive, would Dynamite Kid be acceptable? He would be a first time in the line. Or even Powers of Pain Barbarian.

Or even Powers of Pain Barbarian. While either would be great to me, they like to attract/ bring on new fans with the exclusive. So something like Mike Tyson with DX and Austin shirt makes more sense.

I’m expecting Mike Tyson. No insider info here. He just has a fight coming up so I’d imagine lots of papers get signed to promote it and merchandising deals included

Could it be a GI Joe Roddy Piper? That technically happened in the RA Era (if that is actually something Steve said). Could double for a 2006 Tag Champ Roddy.

Whatever it is, I think it will suck. They haven't knocked out a sdcc out the park yet

Whatever it is, I think it will suck. They haven't knocked out a sdcc out the park yet With how fast a lot have sold out, I think many would disagree with you. For me, the Slaughter Coliseum Collection (first of this style before it was ongoing) was amazing and absolutely “knocked it out of the park.” But to each their own, of course.

They haven't knocked out a sdcc out the park yet Taker: was OK but nothing really special Shockmaster: fantastic figure Superstars doll 4 pack: wasn’t for me but seems like people really wanted it. Was Mattel’s first SDCC sell out Slim Jim: walk off out of the park grand slam Mr T: The mashup was a weird choice considering they didn’t really nail one specific look Slaughter: another out of the park from presentation to execution of figure No Holds Barred: almost perfect execution Ali: great presentation but lacked the excitement of the more recent figs

What was it lacking? I felt it was on-par with Slim Jim Savage & Coliseum Slaughter....

Maybe Andre belt on a white strap or a white Rip ‘Em shirt.

Macho would have been a walk out of the park grand slam had it been an attire he actually ever wore...

Passing on Slim Jim Macho is a top 5 all time regret for me.
As far as the 2024 exclusive, I have now talked myself into wanting a Mike Tyson.

NHB and Slim Jim Macho were the best two, imo.
Packaging for both take them to another level.

Only one I ever got was Slim Jim Macho. I'm so glad I don't have to live with that regret. I only ever opened the outer box, and he just looks amazing as the centerpiece to my Macho collection. I can't believe that figure was only $30 before shipping. Unreal value. I like the figs.
