man when the Fink says "Its now time to find out who drew #1" it gives me goosebumps on my whole body. Then he anounces who drew #2, which also has me on the edge of my seat.
so who surprised you most for 1st 2 entrants?
id have to say 89 with both demolition being 1 & 2. that was very shocking to me. then andre showing up at #3 i was freaking out.

I'll say 89 as well. I liked how they just started beating the tar outta each other
Once Andre got in there at #3....Boom! double clothesline. Crowd ate it up. Great stuff

Great stuff Clicked in to this to say the exact same thing. Loved that they immediately started laying in to each other! Not to hijack the thread but as a side question, who’s winning that match in a one on one situation.

The 1989 one for sure! I remember watching it live when Ax came out and I said to my dad, "It would be so crazy if Smash was number 2" and then when he was, I flipped my lid! I couldn't believe it!
The 1995 one too with seeing HBK and Bulldog as 1 and 2 was interesting just based on the fact they were also the last two in the Rumble too competing for the win.
Also, can't forget 1998 to see Cactus and Chainsaw go at it, reminding us of their ECW and IWA Japan wars from 1995.

1989.
Ric Flair / Bob Backlund in 1993 was also interesting.

My personal favorite is 2008. Starting with the winner and runner up from the year prior plus it being Undertaker and Shawn Michaels. In the garden.
One of my favorite Rumble matches
