The 1991 Royal Rumble Match

Jonathan Plombon who authored a book detailing the whole history of UWF/Herb Abrams believes Valentine was put in so long as punishment for signing with Herb and UWF in late 1990. I don't remember what exactly happened, whether Greg signed by UWF, then was released from WWF or if he was released and signed and then brought back. It was such a quick time period but Bret suggested in his book Greg was released post Survivor Series. 1990 December WWF magazine had him slated for the Rumble but the 1991 edition did not mention him. I don't think he was in the official program either. It was Honkytonk, Buddy Rose and Andre/mystery person which became Knobs or Valentine and Tito on the show.

I think the 1991 rumble is a hidden gem. It's sandwiched in between 90 and 92 which were both amazing so it probably gets overlooked.
