A new thread to discuss the happenings of All Elite Wrestling. Let’s keep focus on the AEW product.
After Worlds End, feels like there’s a lot going on. Some good. Some arguably bad. A few things I’m curious about:
With MJF on the shelf, who does Cole and the devil’s henchmen even feud with? The Acclaimed?
MJF is no longer listed on the internal roster. I think the general consensus is he’s already resigned. In the off chance he doesn’t, does Adam Cole as the devil really mean anything?
Who will be Joe’s first challenger?
We still have three months to go until Revolution, so who are we thinking is involved in Stings last match?
A lot of rumors on names coming and going. Who are you hoping leaves and who are you hoping debuts?
What are some of your predictions for 2024 for AEW?

Swerve will be the first black AEW champion by the spring. And it couldn't come soon enough. That stupid blood drinking spot aside, there's nothing but upside to Swerve. Strap the rocket to him as far as I'm concerned.

Glad Joe is champion
I think MJF will return to AEW
Skye Blue has improved tremendously over the past few weeks
Hoping 2024 is the year of Wardlow and Hobbs
Swerve will likely be AEW champion in 2024 and it'll be well deserved. Superstar in the making.
Rumor and innuendo aside, I'm still ready for Jericho to start winding it down. It's to the point I can't even stand him anymore which sucks because I've been a Jericho fan for over 20 years.
Overall, should be an interesting year.

Samoa Joe being AEW world champ is probably the best thing they have going right now. Joe is incredible, and it’s great to finally see him recognized as a world champ.
Swerve should be next though. His character and work rate have been off the charts lately.

The Devil Group is going to be dead on arrival. The entire basis of the group was to be people against MJF. Now MJF is gone for months. So....what was the point of that? Same thing happened to the Don Callis group when Kenny moved on. It was a group against Omega, and the minute Omega moved on, the group is completely lost and no one cares about a thing they do.
Totally mindless booking. I'd say the overwhelming reaction to the entire Devil storyline was "...eh" or worse, and now what? We gotta wait til March (or longer) for an MJF return? In the meantime, do we have to sit through dreadful Kingdom matches main eventing Dynamite every week with petty Adam Cole/Wardlow interferences? Its so frustrating.

I'm fairly certain most everyone has shown that we can all discuss and banter AEW and it's fine. Weed out the bad, sure.

I think Cole goes after Joe. I think they'll spin it that Joe was simply using the devil distraction to beat MJF, not that he was working with Cole.
With MJF, and the IWC, we can never know what's real or not anymore. We'll just have to wait and see where Max ends up next. So if they were hopinf he'd re-sign, yeah you have to play out the angle.
I want Darby vs Sting. Most think it'll be a tag match though. But if it is the former, surely something has to happen there. Just having a match isn't good enough. In this case they need a story.
I think Mercedes is AEW bound. Maybe Deonna Purrazzo and Kamille too. I don't think we see a major male star this year unless it's someone from Japan or Mexico. Ziggler and Riddle will end up on TNA.
As for predictions, Swerve is hot but it's too soon for the hot shot. We saw what happened with The Acclaimed. They've already jumped the shark. Build Swerve the entire year. Give him the belt at the end of 2024. Get him away from Lee. Have him start up with the biggest names in AEW. My one big question mark is Ospreay. IMHO, he's the best wrestler on the planet. But with Cole, Joe, maybe MJF, a returning Pac and Omega, Jay White, Orange, Copeland, and Danielson ... he needs to get top billing too. Hope he doesn't waste his first year in a feud with Jericho.

I thought I gave up on the idea of AEW having a consistent and well booked women's division, but so help me it'll be a whole new kind of disappointment if it has Mone, Deeb, and Purrazzo and they still only get 10 minutes. I don't think Tony Khan knows me but at that point it'll almost feel personal lol

AEW's women have had a major step up lately and I'm really digging the groove they've found with the women talent. Add in Purrazzo, Mercedes coming in shortly (maybe this time), Britt Baker is good to go anytime, Thunder Rosa is back, Mariah May just getting started, and Hayter's return looming...got a lot to look forward to!

At this point honestly Julia goes in this category she's gotten so much better. Blame Abaddon for the weekend lol.
Potentially Mercedes coming in still.
This division is absolutely loaded to the gills and I left some quality women on their roster off of this list.

The womens division is looking much brighter and I’m glad they’ve been able to move past “our biggest star is Britt Baker.” If they get Mercedes, her vs Jamie should 100% be the All In goal.

This is the most excited I've been about the women's divison,Deonna being ALL ELITE,Deeb on her way back,Jamie and Britt should be back on our screens really soon,the Timeless one and Julia killing it as champions and maybe most importantly Jade out of the picture and not holding a title hostage. Please don't f*** this up Tony🙏
