Was he injured during this time as at Survivor Series he only did an Interview with Mean Gene also where was Sensational Sherri? and the Royal Rumble he didn’t show in the rumble match after attacking Ultimate Warrior

He had a wrist injury IIRC. I know he fought Warrior on house shows throughout that time but I gotta wonder how long they were. The squash post that SNME taping that was on 2nd Battle Superstars CV I believe probably gives me my answer.
And like I said in the Rumble 91 thread,they shouldve showed Warrior chasing em outta the building.

So if Savage wasn’t injured at Survivor Series which team would he be on? I think he would have The Perfect Team but where does Mr Perfect go?

The promo he cut on Warrior was the best spot for em on the show.Nice way to slow build the feud without them interacting in a match together
He really didnt fit in on any of the heel teams IMO
I take this back lol. If Ax was in no shape to compete which I agree considering what was going on behind the scenes with em then Mach taking over makes the most sense. Just be weird not seeing em on the team as they were feuding with LOD since post SSlam.Plus the fact Perfect being the captain of his ''Perfect'' team just fit.

I've said it for decades, he should have been on Perfect's team. Well, he should have led that team. Rename it the King's Perfect Team (Savage, Perfect, Smash, Crush). Let Ax to do the hiding under the ring thing to do the switcheroo with Smash. |

There could be so much confusion going on that they eliminate him even though he's not really in the match. |

The corner is already busy enough with Sherri/Fuji & he's obviously not in a good place physically OR with Vince. |

If Undertaker hadn't debuted at Survivor Series I could see Savage being with DiBiase, Valentine and Honky too.
But Savage with Perfect, Smash and Crush looks good too on paper.

What really sucks about this is that in my opinion his lack of ring time during this period is why he is missing from the wrestlefest video game!

It's possible, but the game didn't get released until June of 1991. By that time, Macho was "retired" and just announcing. One of my all-time favorite video games. I have a mouse pad of the characters of the game in the ring at the same time. WWE really needs to jump on the old-game band wagon and put out some of their older games on those large Arcade Machines that they sell at Walmarts - like Pacman, NBA Jam, Ninja Turtles, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, etc. I would love for the WWE to put out some of their old arcade games in this format (WWF Superstars, WrestleFest, WrestleMania the Arcade Game, In Your House, etc.) That would be awesome. |

According to cagematch, he was working with Warrior every night in November, so I don’t think he was injured. But he didn’t work much in July-October, when the card would have been made. So maybe he was injured during the time they were planning the show and that’s why he was left off a team.

He even mentioned retiring during his interview at the 1990 Survivor Series. So that also could have something to do with it. But yep, sucks that he wasn't in the game. Other than Hogan and Warrior, he was their biggest star, shame he wasn't in the game. |
