Nice retrospective here on this incident. Kitao was a grade A jackass. RIP John Tenta

Like the guy summed up: Kitao disgraced himself.
Why do this against Eathquake? Being around him the previous few days, I bet he noticed how nice John Tenta was and thought he would be easy to take advantage of. Except he wasn’t.
Probably the same thing happened against Haku.

Kitao was always a grade A moron. He got dumped from sumo because he couldn’t get along with trainers. He got himself fired from NJPW for being racist towards one of their big stars Riki Choshu because he wasn’t “pure” blood Japanese. Got fired from SWS for the Tenta incident. Ignored doctor recommendations to treat his kidney/type II diabetes issues which led to his early death at 55.
