I think the ai should be a little better than 2k7. i am not sayin the ai in 2k7 seven was bad but it could of been better.
And for next gen systems there should be roster updates on xbox live marketplace and ps3 store.

I don't play online but heres what I think should be improved
Sweatshirts on the player that are on the bench. Hate the jerseys.
A real halftime report. Not somthing that looks like kennys pictures lol.
More dunks
Harder to steal the ball
More stuff to do in your crib maybe move the crib to the season mode or somthing
More faces to choose from in create a player
More logos to choose from in create a team
Detailed Comentary Like when AI does an amazing crossover they go "what a crossover"
More stats popping up not just when your at the free throw line or if you get a double double
Dif Color headbands - you should be able to pick the color of the headband you use when you make a player
Better ways to lay the ball in the basket
NBA Title party better on the court - I don't wanna hear the nab finals are over and we have a champion. it's boring I wanna hear "The heat have won the heat are your NBA champions and I wanna have them actully announce the MVP on the court

Better afro in create a player - ya know ben wallaces fro in NBA 2k7? You can't pick it in Create a player all you get to choose from is this bad afro

here is a list of some more i thought of.
I agree with the sweats on the bench and Nba title celebrations.
this one isnt that important but fragrant fouls and gettng technicals and ejections(would make it more realistic)
Another thing i agree with u on is the ways of laying the ball in.(ex:teardrops,reverse layups,)
Taunting up the crowd (like lebron in the eastern confrence finals)
when u said better halftime i was thinking like the best highlights from the half and like on Nba 07 for playstation there is a highlight reel at the end of the game of some of the best plays.
Better way to jump for the ball.
ways of shooting the ball(ex: dirks shot where he always gets fouled.
and maybe when u are in the playoffs the crowd wearing ure colors.(ex: miami heat fans with the white shirts in 06)

Agree with all of that. I also want a better way to do hard fouls maybe when you get a hard foul from somone you can ALMOST get in a fight with them then get ejected. Would be great and on the jumpball just do the way EA Sports does it. Just hit one button and hope you get the ball. And the colors thing sounds cool. The game needs better crowd designs. And theres fragrant fouls but only fragrant 1. 1 shot and the ball. Happens to me all the time.

And if there was a new mode i would want it to be like the hall of fame mode for madden...u can upload ure player from college hoops 2k8 to nba 2k8 and help him make it to the hall of fame.

better ai- it is kind of stupid how when u are winning by five points with like 18 seconds left the computer takes their time and hits a three at the buzzer instead of rushing the shot and fouling to like try and not lose its like they give up
better dunk sound effects
more cut scenes- win a round in the playoffs, pre game, post game, half time, player introductions
when u pick the practices for the week in ur dynasty or what ever mode they call it you should have the option of playing them out instead of jus havin ten hours a month to play mini games
more shits and signature styles, or atleast close to what the player has, gerald green and ryan gomes have terrible shots in that game it is not their actual shot
technicals, flagrents, correct five second violations (computer alwasy seems to take like seven seconds when im playin good D and still doesnt get called)
edit player hair
thats all i can think of off the top of my head and i agree with what everyone else said eventhough i may have repeated it as well

Yeah lots can added to be improved but it's still the best NBA game.
AI - computer NEVER shoots a quick 3 or something when they're down in late 4th. And I get away with stealing the ball WAY too easy. Almost every computer possesion I have a 80% of stealing it. So PLEASE fix.
Coloured Gears - Yeah the headbands should be able to be customized, maybe even the NBA logo on the band can be adjusted like some players wear. And I hate the fact that in Franchise, the draft picked player's shoes cannot be changed. It's always the same old white.
Cut Scenes - NBA finals...When I won it, I felt like I won just another game from the regular season. Where's the feeling of the championship game? Fans should be more louder, the announcers should make the play-by-play with lots of excitement, and players should be more pumped up. When you shoot a 3 late in the 4th, fans should be on their feet, players should be pumping fists and screaming and the announcers should be going CRAZY! We need some more reaction. That would make it PERFECT. Maybe present the MVP too.
Fouls - I agree that there should be technicals and flagrant fouls. Maybe if you don't like the call, then you can argue with the refs and have an option of getting ejected or pumping up your team. That would make it realistic. And say, the computer is driving in for a lay up and you foul right at the last second and he falls down. That should be called a flagrant or a technical.
If the game included those, that would be the best basketball game ever made hands down.

I really don't care about any of the flashy additions, or cutscenes or anything... what I would like to see added however (some may have been said already):
Releases to be more accurate. Some player releases are completely off-base.
Various fixes for online leagues, including resetting stats when you reset an online game, online drafts that don't take place on console but on the computer, and other things.
Momentum engine. If no one noticed, there is an insane momentum engine in this game that is balanced to keep both teams in the game. While it doesn't always effect the game, it plays a pretty big role in it atleast 75% of the time. You could be up 20 going into the 3rd quarter, and the game could take a gigantic turn around out of the blue without you doing anything different. Just based on pure luck and momentum your shots suddenly won't fall. It's as if the game's outcome is decided from the start.
