My favorite toys of all time are the LJNs. I am a huge fan of the Major Bendies’ Big Rubber Guys. I have no inside knowledge, but it seems like this line has some buzz and success building. With so many other homage form-factor lines out there, including multiple Remco style and Hasbro/Retro style brands, it seems odd to me that there aren’t more companies doing LJN style figures. I know others have (sort of) tried, such as the Young Bucks LJNs, Jakks WWE and recent AEW figures. But how has no other company done the right size and look of the LJNs before Big Rubber Guys, or since they began? Is the audience too small? Too hard/expensive to produce (I doubt it would cost more than the individual parts needed for plastic figures)? Or do you think it’s possible that the Major Pod guys have carved an unwritten exclusive corner on the market? I know they are friends with Zombie and the PowerTown team. I would personally like if this form factor got as big and competitive as the Remco or Hasbro style, to fill more holes and get more depth. Imagine Zombie LJN style Dino Bravo, OMG, Bundy and Hercules. PowerTown LJN updated style JYD and Tito Santana. WWE Mattel doing LJN style Rockers’ Shawn Michaels, Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, Hart Foundation, and more. The sky’s the limit! What do you all think? Is this coming in the next 5 years or so? Or will this remain Big Rubber Guys only? Or even be short-lived from them as a failed experiment? I’ll enjoy these while these last, regardless, and hope for the best!

Would absolutely love an in-scale giant Gonzalez. I'd even pay extra for him like they did with andre. Hell I'd even pay more than andre if needed

As a kid i would have loved to have more names and figs in the ljn style/scale to expand my fig fed. I had to improvise with bravestarr, sumos, and a few generic figs i found along the way until I started customizing and making my own characters. I think nwa/awa guys fit in perfect with the era they are representing and will fit right in on a shelf or for play. Unless they get obscure and make their dads or friends in this line, im all in otherwise. Im hoping they fill some missing gaps within the wwf golden era like everyone else, but id also love to see guys if the line had continued as well as Bruiser brody Stan hansen Abdullah the butcher Muta Lyger Sting And soooo many more! |

Hell I'd even pay more than andre if needed Cardona said in a recent Major pod that, besides branching their line into other companies of the era, they would be going into the 90’s. So you may get your wish after all. I’m sticking with golden/LJN WWF era personally, if only due to display space limitations. |

I really do understand your wishlist, and if I had more space and budget available, would likely share it. But I’ll continue to focus on my highest priority nostalgia area. |

I hope they choose the proper talent from the other feds to garner enough interest to strengthen the line and extend its longevity. I'd definitely get a sting and muta though |

Personally I would think adding guys from the Nwa, Awa, Smw, Wcw & other federations should only increase the interest in this line & in turn, make it last longer … the Magnum TA certainly has my attention … producing some talent like that ( some of whom have never had a figure before) will keep this line alive for quite a while if they choose the correct names … the truth is, producing new names in action figure form is a much better way of establishing themselves & getting attention rather than making all of those same old worn out names that have been done countless times in just about every line out there

But I agree that for this to go long term, especially if other companies get into this figure style, more variety than just WWF golden era would be needed, just like retros and Remco style are doing. |
