With Ziggler released and moving to TNA, do you think he will eventually return to WWE? It seems like almost every decent talent comes back to WWE eventually. It's a shame Triple H hadn't been booking in the mid 2010's because I think Ziggler would have had a much bigger career. By the time guys like Rollins, Ambrose, Finn, Sami Zayn, and Daniel Bryan were on the scene Ziggler was engrained in his 50/50 booking at best and midcard jobber to the stars role even after WHC "reigns". It's unfair that he got his start in the Ruthless Aggression era where so many (literal and figurative) huge names were on top being a stupid male cheerleader at the same time Vito was running around in a dress, the Heartthrobs were tagging as Chippendales, Big Dick Johnson was bouncing his tits and swinging his nuts, and Vince was dropping his pants to show off his Ass on Raw. Vince really was a perve, and that was just the stuff on the men's side... Triple H would have given Ziggler a more respectable opportunity these days.

From Kerwin White's caddie to the Spirit Squad to Dolph Ziggler. Dude had the best rebrands of all time. I'm sure we'll at least see him at a again Rumble one day.

Talented and enjoyed him at times but never should have been the top star like some fans was preaching.

He made an almost twenty year run with WWE out of crap like Kerwin White and Dolph Ziggler. All time horrible names, the names of sacrificial Steiner jobbers. He was a multi-time IC, US, and WHC champion. He’s worked with everyone from HBK to Goldberg. And you want to have a BETTER career?

Had all the tools to be a multi time world champion. Easily top 5 wasted potential in the 2010s. Should have been a perennial main eventer. The Dolph/Seth feud tease at Survivor Series 2014 could have set up a mega feud for years to come. Shame we never really got that match in any kind of spotlight.
I dont see him coming back, because I dont think he needs to. He’s not going to get his run now like Cody or Drew did, he doesnt need validation for his career, he seems happy doing his own thing on TNA/Indies and his stand up comedy. Maybe one day he gets a hall of fame call but I dont see that any time soon.

The WWE's biggest loser. Most losses in the history of the company.

The WWE's biggest loser. Most losses in the history of the company. Frankie Williams begs to differ.

His name. His name kept him from being a top star.

Should've found the happiness of "doing his own thing" a decade ago. With WWE's mentality during the 1-2 punch of the original black & gold NXT and today's landscape, a guy that gained a good amount of indie cred could be making bank right now.

Ziggler suffered from Vince’s booking.

He never bothered to reinvent himself, except dye his hair brown once and ended up looking like a giant Evan Bourne

A waste. Could’ve been a bigger star at one point but they weren’t interested in making anyone besides 3-4 guys actually sustain character growth or achieve anything of consequence. He fit a particular space to be a bigger star but was ultimately just a victim of the times. Perhaps he achieved what some others in earlier eras also did in that midcard zone but then, they were in eras where top stars were plentiful so it’s a shame.

Was arguably the best wrestler in 2011. Became stale a few years later due to him not having a good enough character.

I can't look at him without making a face, knowing he admitted to having intimate relations with Amy Schumer.

The longevity of his career is amazing, but he never did it for me. Never bought him as a main eventer at all. Nothing wrong with being a decent mid carder at all, but no way was he main event material.
He was decent in the ring, I struggle to think of one amazing match he actually had. Most of the time came off like an imitation of Mr. Perfect and HBK. Yet he was able to have passable and decent matches with pretty much anyone. Nothing ever blew me away, but he was never boring for me eitherm
Still, the fact he was able to stay as long as he did does tell you he had something. He just never clicked with me the way he did with other people.

He just never clicked with me the way he did with other people. He didn't have many "amazing" matches because he wasn't booked to have any - 20 years in WWE and never had a singles match at WrestleMania... He had some fantastic 1-1 matches like IC title matches with Rollins (several on Raw and PPV's), Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio, John Morrison, Kofi Kingston, CM Punk, John Cena, Luke Harper, etc. The problem is the audience couldn't buy into him because we knew there was a near 100% chance he wasn't going to win any big match.
