MKSavage ever hear JBL during the RA era? That was his best run in the booth IMO. Him ripping on Cole was gold.Plus he stayed true to heel during that time I think I caught him after the RA era, during the PG era. To me, his biggest issue was going back and forth between good guy announcer and heel announcer - and on the same program/show. He was supposed to be the heel announcer with Cole being the babyface announcer. Had he done that, he probably would have been fine. And, I would have loved to hear him rag on Cole, that would have been great. But instead, he would bury guys for no reason, then cheer guys like Cena that he should have been denouncing. Just awful.

Yeah cant comment on that PG run but his run from 06-7 was decent I thought Take this clip for example

I said this before but I really liked SBG in the booth
His run in the booth was short so he didnt get a chance to reach that upper level but still I thought he was decent. Really liked him and Gorilla together at SSlam 88

I'll add to this... Right? He's not the best, not saying that, but he's not top 5 worst. And he definitely isn't as bad as Mark Madden. I’m not familiar with WCW but by the sound of things Madden sounds the pits! And if it helps redeem myself I think savage is the greatest world champion after Flair, Austin, the Rock, Hogan, Bret, Shawn, David Arquette, Triple H, Vince McMahon, Backlund, Slaughter, Bruno, Goldberg, Iron Shiek, Undertaker, Kane, Diesel. Billy Graham. 😜

Best - Vince McMahon (when I would play with my toys as a kid I would do Vince voice. He’s my favorite by a stretch) - Jesse Ventura (loved how Jesse would just say stuff that was true lol) - Gorilla (perfect straight man for the heel Ventura or Heenan, love his voice too, it’s synonymous with my childhood) - Tony Schiavone (I was a big WCW fan, Tony’s voice puts me in a place in time where I loved WCW ) - Jim Ross (JR was great, what needs to be said. He reacted to what was happening, not stated it like a fact)
Honorable mention to Heyman. Loved his 2001 WWF commentary
Worst -Michael Cole. (Been announcing for 25 years and has 0 memorable calls or lines. Overrated AF, states things that are happening like he knew they would. Like it’s all part of the show, he doesn’t react. Never liked him. If you deleted his career, nothing is lost.)
- Mike Tenay (similar to Cole, I didn’t like how Tenay would call surprises like it was all part of the show. See RVD’s TNA debut) - Taz (nothing memorable. Everybody buries the commentary in Smackdown Just Bring It but that’s as accurate as the day is long. Thats how Taz sounds) - Shane McMahon (too spaz-ish lol. I like Shane and his commentary makes me think of WWF Attitude the game, which was a fun time. But he wasn’t good) - Bischoff ( I like Bischoff the heel character but his baby face commentary was nothing memorable. He didn’t play off Heenan at all)
Honorable mention to Pat Macafee. I just don’t get it. I think he’s annoying

These aren't in order except for Cole being "WATBES"
PBP:
Jim Ross Gorilla Gordon Solie Mike Tenay Sean Mooney
Worst PBP
Cole...even at the RR last night...I mean f#ckin hell. I nearly threw my coffee through the TV with that Reigns line. Schiavone Vince..Sorry but him getting ready to rub one out over Michaels is intolerable Kevin Kelly
Best Color:
Jesse Ventura Jerry Lawler Bobby Heenan Jim Cornette Paul Heyman
Worst Color:
Cole in his heel persona. Dickhead. Lord Afred Hayes Taz Coach Savage

Coach is a good nod for worst CC
I remember being pissed when they put em with JR/King in 2005. Reminded me of them putting Anvil with Bobby/Gorilla in 91.Completely unnecessary

Prob would end up getting the separation wrong so im just going to give my top 5 and bottom 5 general commentators
Best:
1. Jim Ross - Without him im not sure the Attitude Era sounds like anything other than a raunchy creep style table of Lawler running the booth. With all his accolades the man will still always be overlooked in my eyes of just how good he was.
2. Bobby Heenan 3. Gorilla Monsoon 4. Jesse Ventura 5. Mike Tenay
Honorable Mentions - Pat McAfee & Mauro Ranallo - loved the energy they brought to Smackdown/NXT. McAfee breathed life into Coles announcing which both before and after his time has seemed next to impossible.
Worst:
1. Mike Adamle - Whoever screen tested him and let him have a live headset should have been fired immediately.
2. Mark Madden - Ah the dying days of WCW, whoever put him behind a desk really was trying to kill it. 3. Kevin Patrick - Might be because its fresh in the mind, but his commentary was like listening to nails on a chalkboard for me. 4. Michael Cole - Hit his peak around 02/03 but its because of how long hes been around and sub-par why he's landed on this list. 5. Jonathan Coachman - You'd think by his energy he was Play-by-playing paint drying.
Honorable Mentions: David Otunga & Todd "It's Christian" Grisham. Again two folks that brought zero energy or wrestling knowledge to a position where those are basically the only two requirements.

Worst overall partnership has to be Cole & Lawler from 2008-2012. They are just depressing to listen to. They add nothing. Also they brown nose Cena to creepy levels. It's pathetic.
