I met Josh Peck in Las Vegas once. This was right after Snow Day came out. He was kind of a jerk

Not really celebrities I guess more like people with some notoriety.
I met Murr from impractical jokers in front of a pizza place on Fulton street downtown NYC. What was crazy is that pizza place always had the TV on to court TV and most often what was on was impractical jokers. But not this time. Anyway happened to look out the window and he was right there getting a citibike. So chatted with him for a minute.
Was waiting to meet someone at union square park and Alex Skolnick from Testament just walked right by me. So chatted with him very briefly.
Was getting a metro card at the machine in the subway (Whitehall station I believe) and governor at the time Andrew Cuomo was in the middle of a tour with a few people and walked by in front of me.
Was walking on Broadway-downtownish-and saw Bill Nye was walking across the street being filmed for something. Wearing a sherlock Holmes cap...not really an encounter I guess.
And in 86, like a day before wm2, i was on a flight from San Juan to Newark with pedro morales. He was on his way to Chicago for the battle royal. So that was pretty cool.

Met Roddy Piper a few times, I use to do things for his old website, without a doubt the greatest, not only celebrity, but person I've ever met. Such a wonderful and caring guy. He was the greatest. King Kong Bundy is a close second. Bundy was so nice the few times I hung out with him. Iron Shiek, a class act. David Lee Roth, he bought me a drink once. He was so cool. Didn't talk to him much but he smiled wide and shook my hand. All of the Ramones. Great guys. Trish and Lita. Awesome. Gary Busesy. Weird as hell but so cool. Patrick Warburton. Holy hell was he cool. He was doing his "Joe" voice from "Family Guy" and was being so dirty, it was freaking hilarious. Henry Winkler was a little creepy, he wouldn't let my wife go, lol. But we was nice. There are so many more that I've met that I can write a long time. Not too many in the worse category. Ace Frehley, he was just a miserable person and didn't say much to anyone. Tom Savini. Just another miserable person. He was good to me, but others he was just a dick. Mick Foley. The worse of them all. He was just about making his money at a indy show I was working on. A little girl wanted an autograph on her arm and he said "not until you give me 40 dollars". Foley sucks. Sorry I don't believe that one about Foley. That is not him at all. Believe what you want but it's true. He was a total ass all night to a lot of people.

I saw Great Khali at ORD once. I saw a large man walking funny. His feet looked like he was walking on his ankles more than on the soles of his feet. And he was very large, larger than me. I'm not a small guy. So I was watching his feet and wondering if being a bigger guy had to do with it. I started to worry, maybe something to watch for as I get older. So I wanted to see how old he was, face wise. And I saw it was Khali. I didn't say anything, I didn't want to bother the man. But it was cool to see a pro wrestler up close.

Sorry I don't believe that one about Foley. That is not him at all. Believe what you want but it's true. He was a total ass all night to a lot of people. It's so hard to believe. Many MANY years ago there was a signing with him and the Rock at the mall. After the signing was over Foley was still there. I went up and talked to him for a few minutes and Vader came over. Didn't say anything to me really, not that I would expect that. I think he was driving with Mick. But as I was still there this kid in a wheelchair came over, he was probably in his late teens and looked like he had ALS or something similar. The adult that was with him said the kid was a fan huge fan and asked for autographs. Mick was nice as can be and signed his stuff and talked with the kid but Vader was a total jerk, he totally ignored the kid and the adult. Mick was awesome to the kid despite Vader trying to rush Mick out.

I saw Mark Wahlberg at a grocery store in Roxbury yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying. The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter. When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

One of the nicest people I've ever met was Rowdy Roddy Piper. He was such a good man, and so friendly to speak to and actually took time with you. It was a small signing in a small store so the queue wasn't big when I got there, think I arrived really late and nearly missed it so I was one of the last to meet him. We stood and chatted for 10 minutes and after we took a picture he said to have a a look at it and make sure it came out good or we can try again. You don't get that a lot, it's usually as fast as they can get you out the line so I've always cherished that meeting. I'm a huge Piper fan, always have been since I was young and to say I've met him and how good an experience it was, I won't forget it.

Last week I saw Cameron Diaz at Fred Segal, and I talked her out of buying this truly heinous angora sweater. Whoever said orange was the new pink was seriously disturbed.

I met Bret Hart for the first time EVER, at a wrestling event. I was so excited (as an adult) to meet him. I was always worried about "meeting your idols", because I figured they wouldn't be like I expected them to be. When it was my turn to meet him and organizer asked me if a military veteran could skip me. I said sure that's fine. After the veteran, a woman and her friend jumped in front of me without asking me. Mind you, I've been waiting a hour on the line already...
When I tell you I went Montreal Screwjob on everyone there! lol I screamed at the head organize who was by the photo table and all the staff about how "unfair", and "what kind of event you running here". He finally apologized to me for the incident (again later that night after the wrestling match event too). Meeting Bret was great! After that nonsense, I told him this was my "first time meeting you", to explain why I was upset. He shook my hand and told me, "Let's make it a good one". Bret was a great man! I saw him being patient with a man in a Bret costume crying to him and also signed a crapload of figures for a guy with a crate of Elite Brets.

I met Alicia Silverstone too. I always found her attractive, especially in the Aerosmith music video as I was a kid.
I walked to her on the corner of a street of NY and she stood right next to me. The second I thought, hey its... she had such a bad cough! It caught me off guard because it was continuous and sounded rough. She didn't look sick but her coughs were bad. Walking next to her, and crossing the street made me feel bad for her but also, walk faster then her lol
She still looked good as always.

I met Gilbert Gottfried at a mall many years ago. He was super nice and I even helped him pick out a tie LOL He told me that John Ritter was a real jerk and would not let Gilbert receive any royalty money from the Problem Child movies. Ever since then I refuse to watch any episode of Three's Company.

I’ve met quite a few but RVD has always been nice.
Danzig took his time to talk to 16 year old punk me way back when for like 30 minutes.
But the nicest one I’ve ever met was Mr Bellding. I was working an event and he was there participating and he saw me and asked my name and would remember it all night. Super friendly.
My neighbor was Ike Turner. He was always super friendly to me and my friends.
My wife’s best friend is academy award nominated singer actress Andra Day. She is very loving.

These photos were taken a year apart to the day. Mox is the chillest guy I've ever met. The convention crew tried to get him to stay behind the table for the selfie and just move my wheelchair in front. He refused and came around, took my camera, and snapped the selfie himself. Byron is just a ball of sunshine and was genuinely shocked when I wanted a selfie with him. He couldn't understand why I wasn't fighting for a place to get one with Seth, but I just gestured to my walker and he understood. I've also met Mick Foley and he was very nice, but it was before selfies existed so I didn't get one.

I know this is a bit of an older thread but I wanted to comment on Foley for a moment. I met him back around 2001. He was doing an autograph signing at an auto show for some reason. He signed my Three Faces of Foley Jakks set and I went to shake his hand and thank him and he got very awkward and kind of said he couldn’t. It felt a little weird/rude/confusing. If he was injured or a germaphobe I would have been completely okay with it but it always stood out as something that made me uncomfortable unlike any celebrity encounter (other than MVP but that’s another story).
Fast forward years later, Foley basically got caught red handed ripping off my good friend’s company. Straight up, no excuses, he conned them. They eventually worked it all out but Foley only did so after everything went public and he got exposed. Without question, Mick is a complicated individual.

How did he rip him off Not sure if you are one of those redditor people or not. If so and if you visit squared circle, there is a guy who used to do those wrestling observer rewinds. Great human being and someone I have known for close to 25 years now. If you’re not familiar with him, just know he is humble, polite, well-read, and well-rounded. The really short version of the story is that he made an agreement with my friend’s company, strung them along, stole their design concept, and then Foley ghosted them. It wasn’t until there was public outcry that Foley reached out to resolve the matter. It ended amicably, Mick admitted what he did was wrong, and in the end they were able to benefit charity…but I can’t endorse Mick as being this great, benevolent guy when I’ve seen the result of his greed. It wasn’t an accident, a series of mistakes, or forgetfulness. He got caught stealing and wasn’t sorry until he found out he couldn’t easily get away with it. I can link you to the full stories if you would prefer more context. It’s been a long time since I’ve read any of it or discussed any of it with my friend so everything I’ve shared is off of my sometimes spotty memory.
