I can link you to the full stories if you would prefer more context. It’s been a long time since I’ve read any of it or discussed any of it with my friend so everything I’ve shared is off of my sometimes spotty memory. Please do provide the link. I always feel bad when talking about the "Foley is Crud" thread on google which is 50+ pages of him treating fans like trash. So I would like to see new posts about him being a jerk so I don't feel bad about posting the crud thread. |

Met Jake the Snake Roberts in 2015 at a comiccon (SUPANOVA) before he was fully clean, when I was working with the local indy fed...
Back when Wrestling was having a bit of a down turn here, he was sitting by himself - no one with/around him.
I walked up and shook his hand and sat next to him, proceeded to say "I just want to thank you for all the years of ent..." he cut me off and said "you gonna buy a shirt!? YOU GONNA BUY A PHOTO!??" and so I was like "umm yeah sure I will take a signed 8x10 thank you'' (so I did and proceeded to finish my initial sentence) 'yeh just wanted to say thanks for all the years of entertainment and wanted to let you know I believe you were one of the bes..." he cut me off again and said something like "if you are not gonna buy anything else I can't talk to you." So I nodded and said no worries, then just stood next to him as the show finished in front of us.
That day I thought "maybe I should not give up on schooling."

There are more things that happened during and after all of that but since it has been 10 years, I don’t remember what all it was so I’m not going to say anything negative if I don’t have my facts straight. It left enough of an impression to forever taint my perception of him (and he was one of my all-time favorites). I know he isn’t pure evil and he has done a ton of good…so like I said, he is a very complex individual. I remember that story now. Your design was so much better than his. That was wrong of him to do and he shouldn't have let it get to a point where you had to call him out. I totally understand you being upset and starting a thread. Not really the same but it reminds me of a video someone posted of George Steele being rude to a fan who made a shirt of George I can't remember if he had George sign it but he wanted to have George hold it up for a photo and George wasn't exactly nice about telling him no. George said he wanted to use it to market it and for fans to go to his website, George's, to buy shirts of him. I don't even remember the fan saying he was selling these. |

lol I didn’t create this thread and that wasn’t my company but thank you for at least seeing why it was such a shady/wrong/bad thing for him to have done.

There was someone I saw out yesterday that appeared to be famous. Idk.. had people wanting selfies with him. Not sure what all happened but on my way out I heard yelling and something about some candy bars

He really did that guy dirty and maybe even preyed on him being a fan and wanting to do right by Mick in the beginning with pricing. |
