Everything ultimate does not look good and the best example is cody Rhodes elite torso. The Mania 6 Warrior is another prime example, how the paint on his chest is on there twice, it looks ridiculous if you have him leaning slightly back (see below - credit King of Dragons for the photo).

Agreed man...one more instant where I believe elite torso looks much better than ultimate torso is Logan Paul, so not everything Ultimate looks good.

I haven't seen those to compare, but will try and find some shots now (got the elite Paul on pre order). Ultimate's were great when they started up, but now I think the elite's are better.

I think I'm done with the ultimate's, the bufferfly joints make the figure look horrendous....they don't work for everyone. While I can understand that, at the end of the day, they function as they are supposed to as a action figure being played with. It's a damned if you do, damned if you don't, and I'd rather they do for consistency.

However, there was no issues when they first release ultimate's, they looked great, now it's rare for them to 'look great', so why fix it if it isn't broken.....

I assume they had to try and compete with other toy lines. Drop down hips could take it or leave it though.

Without Mattel investing in new tooling for Kane's singlet and new wider crotch piece I much prefer them not even try to make 2001 Kane. I’m right there with you. Even maybe sculpting a singlet top over the Lesnar torso could work? That would be great but knowing Mattel the formula would be ultimate Diesel torso, arms and the ultimate Kane legs.

Kane was a massive tank back in those days. I still feel like the r3 holds a light of it’s own. I want sculpted flames, mesh on the singlet and legs. He needs a wide torso. I’d like to see some new headscans too. This Kane would be perfect for the removable hair option to have slicked, side and regular hair styles.

I'm not sold on the removable hair pieces when Mattel can just create new headscans with different hair styles. I do agree that guys like Kane, Undertaker and Austin do need there own unique molds. 👍

Am I the only guy on the planet that doesn’t like Ultimates that much? The Ultimate hype seems very real.

Hit and miss, I did to start with, they were consistently decent to be fair, not saying some recent ones aren't bad but you only need to look at Eddie and Kurt which are both laughable! Considering they are meant to be the 'ultimate' figure to represent that particular wrestler they seem to get a few things wrong.

Am I the only guy on the planet that doesn’t like Ultimates that much? The Ultimate hype seems very real. For me Defining Moments were always the "top tier" of WWE figures but then they released Ultimates. I always thought that they were just more expensive Elites, I guess they have ultimate joints and legs etc.? I've always disliked them as just being a more expensive product than Elites/DM (which are basically Elites with more expensive acc.), because IMO there is nothing apart from maybe multiple heads per figure that justifies the price. On top of that I do hate their torsos, they only fit for guys like Batista/HHH etc. I had bought the Fan Takeover Jeff a few years ago and never actually looked at it but realized a week ago that his upper body doesn't fit a bit. So I think it's just a bad excuse. Cody DM vs UE: You think UEs are so much better? Nah, don't think so...

I think they do have the potential to be a well executed idea. I like new headsculpts too, but this would also be a great way to get more options with let’s say an Ultimate where you can get three head scans and three hairpieces. I am concerned as to whether they put or not though. I think with Kane it would be awesome to get two or three mask sculpts. He did have subtle changes, especially during his ‘01 run.

The HBK/Taker HIAC match is my favorite match of all time. Give us some cool packaging as someone above suggested like a Cell type package with both guys in it. One of the Shawn heads HAS to be him with blood on his face.
Plus, HIAC '97 gear is my second favorite gear of his of all time only behind his WM 14 gear. Love that black and gray gear. Fit perfectly for dark, dreary look and feel of the Cell match.

no thanks, would rather have them be in the next set of Defining Moments. Not enough "stuff" to include with them to be worth a $40 ultimate (the price they probably will be by the time they'd come out)
HBK's attire from IYH Ground Zero was a million times better than Bad Blood, and would be a more exciting Ultimate, IMO

Would love for them to redo that HBK. Chest hair and full entrance gear this time. Better face. It’s easily one of the best matches of all time imo.

To piggyback off of the Attitude Era stuff I hope we get another shot at a Ultimate Undertaker from SDCC. Even though that figure was awesome there’s a few upgrades we could get like pale skin, wider torso and details on the back of his cape.

Everything ultimate does not look good and the best example is cody Rhodes elite torso. Honestly, the deeper into the UE line we get, the less I like it. I do like the extra details and such, and I love the women's figures because they are essentially fancy elites, but the men's figures are misses way too often and the butterfly joints just make things awkward half the time. At this point, if they scrapped the UE figures entirely and just started making a version of Elites that go above and beyond, I'd be thrilled. Right now, the only UE figure I want upcoming that I have faith they won't mess up is the leaked Kevin one because, short of them mukking up royally, Kevin Elites already have the UE torso joint. They'd have to go out of their way to mess that up.

I would be highly, highly in favor of Ultimates replacing Elites.
That articulation is just so *chef’s kiss* that I’m trying to convert as many of my Elites as possible.
Once you’ve experienced butterfly shoulders, torso swivel, and drop-down hips on a wrestling figure, everything else feels like a HUGE step down.
