I'm currently rewatching wwf Superstars of Wrestling from my personal collection and Survivor Series 88 is next. And I have always wondered why the show opens without intro music. You see the shows logo and then we see Gorilla and Jesse. Leading up to it, the Survivor Series report had music. They could have easily used that. It was a great theme. And the event before, SummerSlam 88 had intro music and the show after, Royal Rumble 89, had it. And all the shows going forward had intro music. Anybody else have any thoughts about this?

this show was so awesome and to have a build up and music to it like 1989 did woulda been great to see!

I only ever saw the event on VHS and it had been edited down to two hours. I never thought of it at the time but it’s maybe been lost on the cutting floor.

You're talking about the cut to death VHS release. That tape was a mess! 2 matches cut to about only the eliminations and these matches weren't even in the right order!

I remember when I finally seen the PPV version of it and saying, "Wait! Why is Team Warrior/Beefcake vs. Team Honky/Bass happening first?!?! The Tag elimination is first!!" I had no idea they put the matches in different order on the Coliseum video version, because even for the 1987 Coliseum video version they kept the matches in the same order at least.
