Just got UPSed a couple Hogan 3-packs. One of them came with the UE7 bandana instead of the normal poorly-scrawled "lightning" bandana. Is this a running change?

Shame they couldn't do a running change on that Hollywood Rules shirt. I was really disappointed how that came out, Mattel need to have their graphic department redraw and simplify the design in vector format, so it doesn't look like a fan-made, stuck-on rectangle of blurry mess.

Right?!?!? That Hollywood shirt is pure garbo, like the "V1" bandana. I'm happier with my ThreadHead Hollywood shirt. My 3-pack has the half-arsed "V1" lightning bandana. Instantly switched it with the Storm Collectibles lightning bandana. Between that bandana, the shirt, & the litany of Hollywood shades I've seen with misprinted lenses, the lack of QC on this 3-pack blows my mind... but it keeps selling out.

If Mattel decided to do a running change with the Hollywood shirt, that would not go over well at all, unless people who already purchased the set could get one sent to them for free. Because in that case it would be an improvement of the exact same accessory.

It doesn't kick up a lot of backlash for those who got V1s instead of the better V2s. In the case of Mattel, it would just create more sales. ^^;

Hey at least you guys got a decent Hogan. Mine has his eyebrows on his forehead. My only gripe about that Hogan despite the inaccuracy of the bandanna, is the FACT that Mattel got his tight designs wrong. The “Hollywood” letters don’t even extend or say Hollywood on his tights. The lighting bolt designs are way off. I would of gladly taken a running change with the bolts being outlined in dark blue with thinner lines. This is the Hogan I’ve wanted the most out of this line and while I’m happy to get it, I’m a bit disappointed because there probably won’t be another version of the Starrcade ‘97 attire.

I didn't notice the trunks inaccuracies. Good eye.

I’m sure they knew it wasn’t accurate but I can tell you what their answer would be to that question. The same it always is goes something like this…. We have a certain number of financial slots and have to pick and choose a combination of what we think works best so some details were skipped over OR!!!! The classic line of “ maybe this can be revisited later on in the line and we can fix some of the things misses IE another rerelease they make money off of because it’s “finally” correct.

I think this is a really cool set but the no lightning bandana is definitely an improvement if it is a running change.

I like the original bandana. But I didn’t know it was supposed to be lightning. 😂

Getting this figure in person, I didn’t even think it was Starrcade 97 at first glance since I don’t remember there being a Hollywood reel design on his tights. I thought it was supposed to be Bash at the Beach 2000 Hogan when looking at it.

dravenx agree. The first excuse would be bad considering that l the attire was less like heavy than the actual product. Had they made the tights more accurate they could of saved some money. It’s crazy to think that even the “Hollywood” letter fonts are wrong too. They’re supposed to be blocky and angular. I don’t get how a mistake like this could be made especially when we got the correct thunder bolts with the Ultimate Edition with dark blue outlines. mizanin97 I could see why you thought that. The bash at the beach attire had a lot of heavy line work just like the one we got. I think two bolts and thinner lightning bolts would of been just fine with dark blue outlines. Just a quick Google search and you could see the differences between actual product and what he wore. I wonder what Mattel used for references. I’m a bit disappointed even though I like the figure.

They've messed up the lightning on every single non-Wolfpac Hogan figure. The UE's is too blue and thick surrounding the white. Needs to either be muted and smaller or take out the blue entirely. The WM18 is literally just the same as the UE which is completely lazy and ridiculous. How the hell does this look like the UE?: Then the 3 pack HH is so disappointing. Wrong font on the Hollywood, ridiculously over-exaggerated lightning and that bandana and shirt would have been a slam dunk but they f'd it up royally....

That shirt is a massive disappointment, purely the reason I'm not fussed about hunting it down, ruins the figure.

For my money, I think you're all being a little harsh..... I think the figure looks great. Glad to add to my collection, and I had to buy a 2nd 3-pack to keep MOC because Hulk Rules!
