Don't know if this has been asked but can a mattel head fit on a jazwares body and vice versa without any or minimal modifications?

From what I've seen, Mattel heads tend to have an easier time fitting onto Jazwares figures than vice versa since the Mattel heads usually have a deeper peg hole, whereas Jazwares' heads have shallower peg holes. In theory you could shave down the peg hole to make them fit Mattel figures better but that usually requires a dremel/power drill to do

I was looking to put a mattel head on the new malicai black suited figure so I'm glad that's gonna be the easier option

I think folks put Mattel heads on the FTR figs when the first ones from Jazzy dropped of Dawson & Dash. seemed to go smoothly for most?

I feel like the skin tones won't match....
The ones that I've seen look kinda bad because of that.

I once used a spare Wardlow head on a basic suited HHH figure. Needed to heat them up to make the swap, but it came out fine.

I had no problem putting a aew Moxley head on a ultimate body

Depends.
Jazzwares pegs are inconsistent.
Owens head for example, had to be dremeled to fit onto a Mattel body, and his peg is loose for a Mattel head. Not that I was keeping the body, as I was planning on tossing that out 😂

From my experience, I've been able to put Miro & Pac's Mattel heads on Jazzwares figures. The other way didn't work as the Jazzwares heads are too shallow.

In my limited experience, I've had to heat up the Jazwares heads more to get them to fit on Mattel bodies because their holes are smaller. And the Jazwares heads may not fit low enough on the neck, depending on the peg size and head hole size. I think getting Mattel heads on Jazwares bodies is usually easier.

I feel like the skin tones won't match.... The ones that I've seen look kinda bad because of that. It depends on the figure but for the most part the skin tone difference isn't as bad in-person to the naked eye as it may look in pictures from my experience. But for pale skin tones (ie Mattel Christian and his Jazwares one) and peach colored skin tones (ie Mattel Triple H and Jazwares Bryan Danielson) those blend together relatively well. The issue is that some of the wrestlers like FTR had their Mattel figures with the peach colored skin tones but their Jazwares releases are pale colored, so the difference is more noticeable if you do head swaps on those |
