Think part of the problem is cost in today market. When the line started and was only 3-4 years in those sets weren’t terribly expensive $50-$80 I believe. Now, I’d imagine bottom line would be a minimum of $80 for the smallest ones. That, combined with the abysmal retail presence Walmart gives most exclusive items from Mattel - a doomed project. If the molds still exist, I don’t think it would cost that much. A basic ring is still $20-30. The Wrekkin’ playsets were probably $50-60. I think they could make some kind of playset using existing pieces and keep it at a $50-60 price point. Wrekkin playsets have all kinds of new tooling including a new ring. I mean, they made a monster truck. They can’t make some breakaway walls? I think the problem is shelf space. But Target buys those Wrekkin rings that rot away. It would be nice if that shelf space could go to Wrekkin backstage playets. Target stocks Ninja Turtle sewers and Batcaves.

With the death of Toys R Us it meant sadly the death of playsets since nobody else wants to take a chance on them Target still stocks playsets for other lines. Heck, the Wrekkin Arena is technically a playset and they’ve stocked that at every iteration. I’m just saying replace the ring and scaffolding with backstage sections that have similar action features.

Does anyone miss Entrance Greats? Those stands that played theme music were pretty cool. Nope, hated that line. They were over-priced basics, with baggy soft goods clothes. I did not like that line at all. I have exactly two Entrance Greats figures. Elias and Bobby Roode. And i love them both, especially because it's the only Roode we ever got with a robe. As for the backstage stuff, I'm still longing for the stuff like the Grapple Gear that Jakks used to make... except I discovered the hard way that the Grapple Gear from Jakks is somehow not in scale with the Mattel figures? I bought one of the GG fridges on ebay in a lot, spent a good deal of time fixing it up to look like a regular fridge, only to find out it's way too small for Mattel figures. Now I'm trying to figure out a way to give it a bottom compartment that can boost it about an inch and a half off the ground, because somehow the GG fridge is in a 1/12 scale whereas Mattel is in 1/10 scale. For the record, I also bought a GG toilet that I was working on resculpting and 'restoring' to make it look like a normal toilet, but I stalled on that for other projects.

I also have the Bobby Roode "Entrance Great" and it is an exception, but it was also much newer; It was the original Entrance Greats (among Mattel's first attempts at WWE figures) that I didn't like.... The Piper, Dibiase, Triple H just didn't look that good to me (especially for the price point).

Is there still a market for that Kmart Raw Superstar Entrance Stage? I have a sealed one I'd like to unload and I don't know if it's worth the trouble of hauling it to toy shows or if I should just customize it into something else. absolutely. I sold mine sealed for $180 about a year and a half ago. cant imagine its worth much less now

And that debut Jericho with the leather pants and the club shirt is one of the best figs Mattel has made.

Hey these were among the first figures released after Mattel took the license from JAKKS, and I think I was debating whether I even wanted to continue collecting when JAKKS lost the license.... for whatever reason I didn't feel these were up to par. Many of us were huge fans of the JAKKS line and still reeling from the Mattel takeover.... I eventually came around.....

Cool stuff Mattel used to make that I miss, New (current and classic) kids sized WWE, WCW, ECW, and NXT Championship Title Belts. I'd like to see more of the pre-Netowk Championship Title Belts. Undisputed (2002 to 2005) Big Eagle ECW (2006, before the Big Platinum) Women's (2002 to 2010) Cruiserweight (2002 to 2007) World (Raw) Tag Team (2002 to 2010) WWE (Smackdown) Tag Team (2002 to 2010) And many many more!!
