Bret Hart and this is not even remotely close. I do not think anyone in ring work has aged as well as Bret Harts. His punches and kicks actually look like they connect, he was able to have great matches with people of all sizes and despite the narrative that is running these days of him being a bad promo or having no charisma, people connected to this guy on such a natural level. His heel work in 97 is some of the best the WWF has ever had and even during his babyface run, his promos were never "bad". He is absolutely one of the all time greats. Bret is just the best. 97 was an epic year for him. |
