Prior to Wrestlemania IX, Brutus Beefcake returned to in-ring action for the first time since he had that near-fatal parasailing accident. Money Inc. double teamed him and were about to hit Brutus Beefcake in the first to further aggravate the injuries(they eventually did), when Jimmy Hart OF ALL PEOPLE, Money Inc'.s manager was trying to stop them.
Now, not only was Jimmy Hart's character meant for an obnoxious, loud mouth, heel who hid behind his clients, but for the past decade, Brutus Beefcake was a huge thorn in his side and tried to cut Hart's hair on numerous occasions. Why would he be opposed to his men crippling him. And to bring Hogan in, was to make matters worse, who directed Earthquake to injure his ribs 3 years earlier.
To make Jimmy Hart a Hogan cheerleader looks so intellectually- disabled and goes against the grain of his character, which he did a good job doing in the decade of his WWF tenure.
What I want to know is, why did the WWF decide to make him a face and manage his two mortal enemies no less?

Because Jimmy Hart and Hulk Hogan were like best of friends behind the scene, that's why. Jimmy Hart really did manage Hogan behind the scenes for things forever so they put it on screen now too and had them be together.
I didn't mind Jimmy's babyface turn.
Though, imagine if Jimmy had remained heel and stayed with the WWF then. When Owen Hart turned on Bret, I can hear Jimmy now, "I told ya, Owen, that your brother was selfish, baby! I told you!!" and seeing Jimmy Hart manage Owen Hart as a heel would definitely have happened in 1994 if Jimmy stayed and never changed.

Yeah, it was kind of weird. I was completely expecting Jimmy to turn on Brutus and Hulk at WM9. Though, with him by Hogan's side for the end of his run, and for the first 1+ of his WCW run, it helped when they turned Jimmy heel on Hogan in 1995.

The only thing his face turn accomplished was letting the fans know how serious Beefcakes injury was.

If only he brought the entire "Wrestling Boot Band" with him to the ring. But yeah, face Jimmy just didn't work. Hogan never needed a manager at ringside.

I didnt mind it, he needed a change of direction and seemed to have great chemistry with Hogan. He ended up turning heel again in WCW.

in my mind, i see it as jimmy having a change of heart and realizing that money inc was a little TOO heinous in their actions. perhaps he wanted to be a decent human being and be on the right side of karma. and thus stopped associating with them. at least thats the most logical reasoning i can think of.
its not a bulletproof explanation, but is anything in wrestling? lol

I liked him as a face, but he was a better heel.
Very underrated as a face tbh.
