So I've been off & on interested in this event now for a while and how its this kind of anomaly for WCW in 1999. It had absolute monster buyrate (which seemed to surprise Bischoff on 83 weeks) and is the 3rd most successful PPV in WCW history.
I often bemoaned the booking of this PPV and the fact we were getting Flair vs Hogan & the pivot away from Goldberg but folks clearly wanted to see it. I have always said Goldberg's path to revenge should have continued here with Nash and I stand by that but clearly viewers were pulled in by Hogan vs Flair too.
Maybe it was because we hadn't got a proper face Flair vs Heel Hogan program yet & folks were genuinely enjoying the President Flair stuff?
thoughts on this PPV and the build to it?

Ahh yes the David Flair heel turn no one asked for.And to think they did all that and not long after this the roles are reversed with Naitch/Hogan.WCW booking man something else
I really liked Hennig/Windham winning the belts here. Thought they had a good match with Benoit/Malenko

I wanted Benoit and Malenko to win so badly at this one! I know they won them a few weeks later at Uncensored but then they come off as heels after that with Flair and I just didn't care for that either.
Was this the event where Nash beat Rey and took his mask?? Superbrawl and Uncensored this year seem to bleed into one another pretty easily with matches and angles, so I kind of forget what happened on both cards. I just remember matches happening around this time that could be on both PPV events.

Like Goldberg should have been hot after Nash here after beating Hall at Souled out. Why was he f#cking around with Bam Bam & Nash with Rey

Hogan vs Flair was big money here. Face Flair vs Heel Hogan...big time stuff.
Tbh the buyrates doesn't shock me. It's very impressive, especially with WWF on fire at this time.
