RIP Virgil. His 1991 run from finally turning on DiBiase to winning the Million Dollar belt remains key memories from my childhood.

That's a bummer to hear his run from Royal Rumble 91 to SummerSlam 91 was something I was so invested in. When he nailed Dibiase with the belt at the Rumble I lost my mind.
RIP Virgil

First Ole... now Virgil... they say death happens in 3s, so that's unsettling to think now.
R.I.P. Virgil. The greatest moment you ever had in wrestling was at SummerSlam 91 when you won that Million Dollar Title from your former boss. The New York crowd went nuts over it!

May he setup his convention table at the pearly gates before going to Olive Garden with that F money. RIP

Aw, that's too bad. I know that he's received kind of a bad rap more recently, but I'll always have a soft spot for him, as he was in the main event of my first live WWF show back in February of '88 (Hulk Hogan & Bam Bam Bigelow VS. Ted DiBiase & Virgil w/Andre).

When he won the Million Dollar belt from DiBiase, with Piper cheering him on, it was one of my favorite Summer SLam moments, and I always loved his singles theme music, with that Rocky feel to it. RIP.

Sad to hear. His 1991 run was amazing. The story telling involved in that angle was great. Like most others have already said, that 1991 Royal Rumble moment and Summer Slam 91 moment were big parts of my childhood. RIP Virgil.

R.I.P. Mike "Virgil" Jones
I have fond memories of watching the SummerSlam '91 VHS over and over as a kid and watching him capture the Million Dollar Belt.
