I genuinely have to ask why Bret has never ever had a good headsculpt. Not as an attack but I'm sure they must know when they put these out that they are not winners. I've seen people on eBay create "high quality head sculpts for figures" of Bret Hart and I know mass produced is different but like...I just do NOT understand what the issue has been with Bret all of these years.

^He’s the WWE version of Mark Hamill/Luke Skywalker where sculptors can interpret his face in many different ways. There’s seemingly never a perfect likeness, and if you miss the mark, the end results can be just horrific.

You can always just trim the glasses so that it fits. I think you shared a pic once with the target straight faced scan and WCW glasses right? I’ll modify the glasses if anything. I did. Although I don’t know which album I loaded it to now. So I just took a new one.  |

So I just took a new one. See that looks damn near perfect. They should have just given him that scan and the other scan that came with the target Bret and called it a day. |

Why does the design team REFUSE to use the WM 30 flashback/King of the Ring RSC head?! That was the best likeness to Bret that they have done and they haven’t used it since.

Same with the Mania 14 Shawn. I know it was in the greatest hits line, but they've never had a better likeness to him than that one, and it never gets used. Baffling. |

I also think that Bret scan is Mattel’s best likeness for him. If I I had to nitpick, it would be that the hair could be a little shorter, but I guess it’s not intended to be a ‘97-‘98 Bret. Still, I think Mattel should use that scan more often. It’s good. |

First off, I agree. Someone at Mattel hates Bret Hart at this point for these headsculpts to be getting progressively worse. At this point they have to be intentionally doing it, there's no other way a major manufacturer of professional action figures can mukk it up this badly this many times and in this many different ways.
Second, uhhh... so, I may be hallucinating here but, looking at those pictures... does Bret have sculpted n*pples?? I swear it looks like he's got, err, SPOTS on his pecs! Am I tripping or is anyone else seeing those???

These MNW/coliseum collection heads are the Worst to date for Bret figures and they are Ultimates?! I just don’t get it. |

Bret Hart - the proverbial line collection killer. I was considering going all in on the Monday Night Wars line. When I saw this awful figure, no way im wasting money on this.
Why do they keep making Bret Hart figures? It's baffling. Amazon can't give the Ultimate Editions away. It's not as if they are selling. I have seen reactions in shops where someone picks up a Bret Hart figure out of curiosity, then looks at the face scan and gives it that "meh" face and puts it back on the shelf. They can't do the headscan. Do they get a kick out of the negative reactions? It seems like it. How many have they made in the last year, four or five? All of them it was universally agreed had awful head scans. At the premium prices that Ultimate Editions go for, they should not be at the point where the reactions are "well those Bret Hart headscans are getting there" or "getting better " They should nail the headscans first time or else don't expect people to splash out premium prices for it. Just don't do them anymore, it's proven that Mattel just can't do Bret Hart head scans.
If only they had the same eagerness to make Jeff Hardy figures at the same rate when he was under contract.
