Bret - The new pics on the third page make the 2nd head sculpt look better. I think the first head sculpt is the best out of the bunch (although he looks old). The third is horrible without the glasses.
It's crazy how many new sculpts they have tried and they are all still pretty bad except for E94. The problem with E94 is his hair line is too far back. If they fix that, they should just call it day and use that with different hair molds.
It's also crazy how many hair molds he gets (Taker/HBK too) and Warrior is usually released with the same one for most of his figures.
Piper - would look better if his lower torso was fuller. Other than that and the giraffe neck for the one sculpt, he looks pretty good.
Both look better with the jacket on so that is how I will display them. Bret looks horrible without the jacket so that isnt even an option.

I just remembered, that Bret screaming scan reminds me of the Walmart UE RVD. They both have that weird old man screaming thing going on. I wonder if Mattel is actually using reference from their younger days or using modern scans at times. They both look like they’re 70 years old. WrestlingFigWig do you have any pictures of Roddy’s trunks?? I know the protos had the wrong blue for sure, just want to confirm if the finalized version is accurate. Interestingly enough, Jakks got the blue right. |

More and more the ultimate line is moving forward the figures are getting worst and unappealing. They need new torso. That rowdy piper torso looks unnatural.

For me personally, it only works for Flair. He had this barrel/flabby chested thing going on. We need more torsos for Ultimates for guys who were built, but not too lean and some more flabby torsos for guys like Piper. |

PJ I think you shared a pic once with the target straight faced scan and WCW glasses right? I’ll modify the glasses if anything. I just found the original one I took. It was on the DM Hitman body that’s why I wasn’t seeing it in my albums. lol  Wow! That kind of actually looks like Bret Hart. When can you start? He has had a few - very few - passable scans, but it is baffling how much trouble they have getting down his likeness. You would think with how many Bret figures they've made over the last 14 years that at least one would be an absolute home run, but Mattel is instead somehow regressing. Every one of the new heads that are included with that UE figure are shockingly bad and some of the worst ever so far. |

Those Bret heads are brutal. The only one that kind of works is the smiling one, and even then it’s not one I would even consider good.

The humble smile Bret looks quite good in those new photos. The angry Bret is offset by the sad eyes. They don’t quite match the intensity of the mouth. I still like it though. WrestlingFigWig Do you have a pic of the goofy Bret head with the glasses? I wish they gave Piper’s hair some blonde highlights. Otherwise, those heads are outstanding. |

Not saying that the scans are top-notch, but it appears that the biggest issues with the Bret heads are related to the eyebrows. They are either not dark enough or painted in a way where he looks just kind of stupid and/or really high.

This head is actually a good likeness of Bret. The hair is pretty bad. But the heads they included on the KOTR ultimate should work if they retooled the hair (and remembered that his hair is brown not black). Particularly the head that had the open mouth. The face is spot on. I don’t know why they keep defecting back to that  ing godawful swept back hair head like the one PJ posted above.   |

Bret looks obliterated in the second photo, but I’m hoping if you put the glasses on, it will be less obvious. It’s probably the best of the 3 scans.
