Brown attire Mankind tribute thread here. Mick sold this character to perfection in the early days. From the vignettes in the dark with his rat ''George'' to his debut match with Bob Holly after Mania XII. Just great stuff Then we get to IMO the best feud of 96 in the Federation with Taker. From the promos to the intense matches not to mention the heel turn from Bearer at SSlam that nobody saw coming. Top notch stuff And oh yeah the classic with Shawn at Mind Games. Helluva year for Mick here Brown attire> white shirt and tie attire all day long

He was such a great performer. I loved the way he had different entrance music and victory music.
I'm not sure which version of Mankind I liked best.
While the ending wasn't great, him vs Shawn Michaels at In Your House 10 is one of my top 20 matches of all time for sure.

Cactus Jack was my favorite “face of Foley”, but brown attire Mankind was my favorite version of Manking.

It really saddens me that when people think of Mankind it's the underdog, comedy guy in a white shirt and tie who comes to mind. Don't get me wrong that version was iconic and beloved by the fans, but I feel that tortured soul Mankind is always overlooked.
It was the Mankind character that got me into wrestling, I remember one Saturday morning in early 97 I was flicking through the channels and then I came across Livewire and Mankind was in a match. From that moment I became a fan, his attire, mask and persona really drew me in

As an 8 year-old wrestling fan in 1996, I can tell you that Mankind really freaked me out when he debuted. That character was pretty good nightmare fuel for a kid and he absolutely was perfect in that role.
Fast-forward some 15+ years later and I'm attending a comedy show with him as the host at my local bar. Gotta love it!

Brown attire Mankind was a more in shape Mankind too.
I feel the tie and shirt Mankind was a bit more fatter. Especially during the Rock N Sock days when he was pretty much just Mick Foley in the Mankind mask, with a white button shirt and blue jogging pants. The Mankind character was long dead by then.
As for brown attire, you had the Undertaker feud, the match with HBK in 1996 and in 1997 in the summer on Raw, you had his matches with Taker in 97, his summer time feud with Triple H, and even the debut PPV match of Kane at Survivor Series, all brown shirt Mankind.
I remember in 1996 too thinking that Mankind and Goldust could have had a run as WWF Tag Champions. It's too bad that team never came to be in that era, cause I felt if Bulldog and Owen didn't beat the Gunns, Goldust and Mankind could have easily done so.

His chemistry with Michaels and Hunter during that time period is so insanely good. He honestly should have had a WWF title run during that era. Have him beat Bret the night after Final Four and run him vs Taker at Wrestlemania.

The guy was really good no matter which character he played. My favorite of his was Cactus Jack. I enjoyed both versions, the WCW one in the early 90s and the WWF version in 1997 and 2000. I also enjoyed both versions of Mankind. The evil monster was really great, and he was Undertakers best opponent during the New Generation era, but I also liked the 1998-2000 version as well. Mick was really funny, and I think that helped him prolong his career. Doing the comedy stick with the Rock and Vince among others was probably very beneficial to him late in his career.

Brown attire Mankind as WWF Champion or IC Champion would have been some good stuff.

Early Mankind was awesome. KOTR96 is such a crazy good match in their rivalry & hardly anyone talks about it.
