In my psycho ways I’m debating buying another Volkoff to use a jakks jumper to represent his 70s and 84-86 look. I was going to use the Legends 2 pack to represent his time as The Bolshoviks and then finally use the updated legends for the late 90 face turn.
Can anyone confirm if the legends 2 pack can pass for The Bolshoviks as I know alotbof the time he teamed with Shiek he wore the USSR jumper

Yes. It will work. He wore the jacket and hat during the Bolsheviks run. Not sure about the tights with the blue stripe on the side. I believe he just wore all red tights without the blue stripe during his Bolsheviks run.  |

I know it wasn’t the point of your post, but I wonder if he is still an option for new figures in this current political/social climate (or if we think he still has a Legends deal, for that matter). I would really want him in the Coliseum Collection and wishful Hulk Hogan’s Rock n Wrestling lines.

We need a Volkoff with a USSR sweater. I get some of the recent PC cancellations like Strongbow and Rising Sun RVD but there is no one offended by the now defunct Soviet Union. They were our allies during WWII and the Cold War didn’t amount to anything other than fear mongering.

Those are my favorite WWF tag team titles, also worn by the US Express and Adonis and Murdoch toward the end of their reign. In the US Express's second reign, they also wore those, then switching to the now iconic classic titles, before they dropped them to the Dream Team. I'd love for Mattel to release those belts, along with the green Intercontinental.

Well, since he didn’t have the “USSR” on his shirt in the Hulk Hogan’s Rock n Wrestling cartoon, I’ve come around and can accept it missing for Coliseum Collection too. Hopefully he’s still an option. He was definitely one of the 80’s/LJN icons. |

He was a bear of a man, not really paunchy but wide, because he was an old time weightlifter. Way more like the first Walter mold, I've never liked the constant re-use of that Hacksaw torso. JYD, Volkoff and Honky all looked nothing alike (and then pairing it with chicken legs just compounds the issue).
I really hope we get them all as ultimates, USSR sweater Volkoff with a serious/slightly scowling or frowny face (the orignal legends two pack was too extreme) would be awesome, and Honky still needs to be done in the black tights with the blue deco and his white and gold jumpsuit. Or the LJN red and blue one!

Yeah wasnt surprising. Too much risk for mattel. Only takes one complaint to get sued thesecdays for millions. Will write ussr on mine using fabric markers haha |
