Enjoyed it at the time but not one for the ages for me. As much as I enjoyed Foley at the time, the whole coming out of retirement a few weeks after retiring “forever” was a bit disappointing. I take on board Big Show being promised a WM main event, but had no business being there! Shove him in a “special” main event akin to the Kiss Demon.
Never thought about it at the time, but weird there was no one on one matches on the card.

Im so Glad Austin didn't get cleared to return here & they had to pivot....it would have been a waste in front of this dead crowd. I wouldnt change his return at Backlash, that hot crowd or Vinces excellent heel speech about "card subject to change" beforehand for anything...LOL. JR: "Oh look here's Patterson the parade must be over" LMFAO The Backlash crowd was amazing. Austins return was just perfect. I'd say if he returned at WM, then the crowd really would have ruined it tbh. |
