Continuing on with WM stuff during WM season... a lil over 30 days til the 40th edition of WM!!
What do you guys think of WM20 overall? Good? Great? Epic? GOAT? Average? Bad? Underrated? Overrated? Amazing?
I'd say its easily one of the best for me. All the big names & best talent was featured. The hype was also crazy.
Benoit vs HHH vs HBK, Eddie vs Angle, Rock & Sock vs Evolution, Jericho vs Christian, Cena vs Big Show... all good stuff tbh.

Before that terrible weekend in 2007 with the Benoit family, Wrestlemania XX was my favourite Wrestlemania in many years. I am sure if I watch it now, I probably could enjoy it again. I watched the Royal Rumble 2004 during January and I found myself enjoying Benoit's win again. So maybe now I could enjoy his World Title victory. But it's tough to say.
But Wrestlemania XX was a great, solid, really enjoyable PPV event. A lot of great matches, angles, story lines, and feuds happening at it. I still say that 2004 was just a great year for the WWE with angles, feuds and matches.

I really enjoyed this and the run up to the event.
The two main events were fantastic, the way the crowd hijacked Brock vs Goldberg and how Austin was just laughing it up was awesome too.
This show actually has a lot of really solid and fun matches, Evolution vs Rock & Sock was tons of fun, I was all in on the rise of John Cena so seeing him become the US Champ was great.
Also, while I loved The American Badass, that shot of Undertaker from the bottom of the ramp, through the druids and fire looks so badass, I got the WM 20 collectors edition and it has some awesome high res photos of the event and a couple of them are from Undertaker's entrance.

While the ending of the show will forever be memorable for all kinds of different reasons, I think the PPV as a whole was just pretty good.
Of course the setting of MSG immediately gets it bonus points and there are some big names all across the card, but take out the main event and most of the matches are pretty forgettable. I'll take WrestleMania 19 and 21 over this one any day.

a great mania! lots of great matches and lots of fun the brock/goldberg bs pissed me off as that was the match i was looking most forward to, but still a great event!  |

I'm being biased here, as I was in attendance, I thought it was an awesome WrestleMania.
Can't believe it's almost been 20 years!

A more intimate venue without fans really made it feel special, but I know they won't turn their back on that money after all these years. |
