Yes and it’s correct Not really how an opinion works. When my opinion is they should make these again and improve them from the original version and yours is that they should only be released once and you have to pay ebay dudes whatever they want for them, I mean… yeah?

I like how you put a question mark at the end cause you aren’t even sure if that’s how an opinion works. There are different types of collectors. I am of one mindset and you are of another. I never once said that anyone is stupid for wanting them to be rereleased and I even said I can understand why Mattel would want to do it from the business side of things. Doesn’t mean I have to like it and it doesn’t make me “wrong” for not liking it or not wanting it to happen. It’s unfortunate that there are so many close minded people on this forum. Just because you don’t agree with something doesn’t mean you can’t challenge yourself to try to understand where someone else is coming from. You don’t agree with me and are calling me stupid for not agreeing with you. I don’t agree with you, yet I understand where you’re coming from. I still don’t like it though. Doesn’t make you stupid, right, or wrong.

I’ll never understand the mindset of “I had it hard/one way, so everyone else has to have it that way.” If people can catch a break/deal, then good on them.

And the other guy said stupid. You’d actually have to read to see it so it’s not “on me.” And it’s not “I had it hard so you should have it hard.” It’s that’s how the collecting game is played. Or at least how I thought the collecting game was played. Look at Micro Brawlers for example. They are not rereleasing the same brawler or the same attire. If you want that old brawler then you have to pay for it. That’s how collecting works or how I view it. There’s a Kurt that was limited to 200 that goes for over $200. It’s too costly for me, but I like that it exists and that it’s worth that for someone else. Maybe I can get it one day but not now. And there’s nothing wrong with that.

As someone who's been in on the Mattel line since Day 1 and has all the early figs already, while there's a tiny part of me that goes "ugh" I'm honestly super okay with re-releases. HOWEVER ... I really, really wish they would go all-in on the improvements/upgrades. They have the technology and the parts. I wish these had more than just pinless joints/etc. Give me more of an incentive to buy 'em again! Some of those early faces (as mentioned in this thread) were rough.

It’s always gonna be sour grapes

Again, I don't really understand why so many of you are arguing against my viewpoint on this. 1. It's my opinion. 2. The rereleases are still happening so you really don't need to make a case for anything. It's not like Mattel is reading this and is going to side with me. Don't worry. Your cheaper rereleases are safe and you won't have to work hard for anything in your collection (or hoard since its the same to you).

I still don’t understand why they didn’t take the chance to improve these figs outside of elbows. HBK needed one of his newer heads. As did Cena. Why not give Kane the correct boots? Warrior a wash on his hair? Etc….

Warrior a wash on his hair? Etc…. Because it’s a cash grab. They see how much these are going for on the secondary market and want to capitalize on it with as little work and effort as possible.

You posted your opinion on a public forum and it comes off as bitter/spiteful. I don’t walk down the street yelling at homeless people to save their money. I know that’s extreme, but it’s hard to get anything across here.

I should have said “I don’t really understand why so many of you are arguing against my viewpoint on this to such a degree.” Of course it’s a public forum so anything here is up for debate, but you’re spending so much time on this as if you have something to prove or you’re trying to prove me wrong. It’s still my opinion. It’s not wrong and not are you wrong. Like I said though, you’re getting your way so why are you wasting so much time on this. It’s kind of sad actually.

What? You don’t buy something automatically because it’s more expensive. Never once said that and doesn’t relate to any of my points. Nice try though. If anything, you got a great deal and over time your ten dollar purchase was valued around $200. That’s the fun part of collecting that I’ve been talking about this whole time. That should be a good thing. I don’t see why or how anyone could perceive that as a negative.

Enough arguing, jeez. It doesn't change that they are being released.

These are awesome. While I’d prefer a different Dudleyz attire I love just about everything else besides the weird Triple H neck and head. Glad they re released some of these. I own the original John Cena but I wanna get this sort of remastered one too. I appreciate the upgrades.

By the way, after actually looking at the photos, Cena, Triple H, and HBK are rough. Those heads are just awful. I would have never expected Mattel to update them since these are glorified cash grabs, but those heads might be some of the worst they've ever done. Kane's mask doesn't look that great either. Warrior and Taker look very good though. Could definitely see those selling well.

Some re releases don't need to be exact since they have better arm upgrades anyway, these are supposed to be upgrades, so upgrade the heads too. Stamping different ink on the same tired head scan doesn't always turn out well. Who knows, until they have in hand pics maybe out opinions could change.
