How did you feel about the launch of In Your House back at the time?
I remember reading about it and being shocked that the WWF was adding even more PPVs, albeit these were "mini PPVs". I felt that they would take some of the uniqueness away from the Big Five (with KOTR having been established by then) and having such a show in every single month without one of the Big Five felt somewhat like overkill.
Admittedly, growing up in the UK, Sky Sports didn't even bother to show the IYH shows until Spring 1997, so it wasn't like I had to decide whether to watch or whether to cough up a PPV fee, but we did get the releases on home video. Even though I often bought the home videos to the big events, I never could bring myself to shell out for the IYHs, as they felt a bit meh and you would have to buy 7 more VHS tapes a year to build up a full collection.
So.. how did you all feel? Like it was a money grab or were you excited at getting to see more shows? The IYH cards certainly seemed to offer more than what the regular WWF TV shows of the time generally offered.

Eh, they were cheap and basically a Raw show without the commercials.

I was mad as hell that they didn't air them in the UK for the better part of two years! We would get highlights the following Saturday on WWF Superstars.
That made getting each on on VHS that little bit more exciting. I liked the In Your House shows, they were fun, In Your House 5 is my favourite of them all.
Plus it had that fun country style theme song that went great with the WWF Superstars song from 95-96.

To me the 4/5 PPVs a year prior to this was perfect but for 15/20 bucks still was a good deal even if a good portion of the matches were Raw quality Plus like tmnt316 mentioned the house set was awesome

Aired long before I started watching but I loved the entire arena set up and atmosphere of the PPV's.
Also some of them were better than the Big 4 events.

I was meh on them at first until Seasons Beatings.
From then on I knew they were good for at least 1 outstanding match. I lapsed as a fan though from 95 to 97 big time

I liked them a lot!
I remember in 1997 watching them for the first time live and seeing they would be 2 hours and would be done before 9 pm and I would still have a few hours to do whatever I wanted before bed before school the next day.
With that being said, I feel that in 1995 that the In Your House PPV events were more entertaining then the original 5 PPVs that the WWF did.

Backlash 99 was still under the IYH branding and it was better than WM15 too.
