What if Lex Luger showed up at wreslemania 8 as a wrestler?
i can see him being the one getting involved in the hogan vs sid match
Who does he face at summerslam 92 and survivor series 92?
Does he win the royal rumble 1993? if he does he beats bret hart than challenges hogan and loses the title and than gets the belt back and the king of ring?
if luger vs bret hart happens at wrestlemania 9 does mr. perfect vs razor ramon happen? do we get yokozuna vs backland?
Who does luger defend title against at summerslam 93?

Interesting...
I mean, Luger interfering would also result in Warrior returning too. I am sure we would get Warrior vs. Luger on house shows.
Perhaps a Flair, Luger, Perfect and Heenan group.
I could see it being Flair and Luger vs. Savage and Warrior at Survivor Series with Luger taking Ramon's place.
Actually, Lex Luger coming in to the company wrestling at 1993 helped Razor Ramon out greatly. I doubt Razor would have been put in the position he was in if Luger was wrestling for the WWF in 1992.

If I'm fantasy booking, I'd leave the rest alone....
But he would have won that WWF Championship at Summerslam. I often wonder what his later career would have become had he been crowned WWF Champion that day.
The failure to win the championship at Summerslam really sent his career off course, and I don't think it ever quite recovered.

IMO any conversation about Lugers potential in WWF starts and ends with SummerSlam 93. I think Yoko going over by heelish means would have even been a better finish than what we got. At least then, Yoko gets even more heat for winning and Luger gets sympathy as a face. The countout win and celebration made him look like a goof. Even as an 8 year old watching it live I can remember I was confused and couldn't believe he didn't win the title. |
