Well its officially 30 yrs old... A two match event, but those two matches still hold up as some of the best in the last 30 years. Even if the rest of the card was pretty meh, seeing Bret win the belt back at the end was the perfect capper.

I don’t care for Bret/Owen What don't you like about it? It bores me. I’m not a huge fan of Bret’s style, I prefer my wrestling a little quicker, a little more action-y.

Alundra Blayze vs. Leilani Kai Anyone know why Leilani Kai was brought back to fight her? Wasn’t she to face someone else?

Apart from Bret/Owen and Shawn/Razor, it's a rather weak WrestleMania in my book.

Like all the NEW Gen WMs its a one or two match card. In fact you'd be lucky to get 2 good matches out of some of those.
see 9, 11, 12 & 13 for more evidence of this.

What don't you like about it? It bores me. I’m not a huge fan of Bret’s style, I prefer my wrestling a little quicker, a little more action-y. You are not alone. This whole feud/match didn't do much for me either. I always felt Bret was weak on the mic, and his wrestling style was good... but at times repetitive and mechanical. Meaning, he gets thrust into the turnbuckle chest first.... rallies back with the Russian Leg Sweep..... snap suplex.... sharpshooter..... Rinse and Repeat. To me, one Bret Hart match is much like the next. It's no coincidence that his title run was one of the least-drawing eras in WWE history (at least, up to that time). History shows Bret as one of the better WWF Champions... but at that time? Meh..... Bret became more interesting over time but in 1994? He wasn't quite there yet..... Remember this is 1994, right around the time that a lot of the more charismatic personalities had just left and headed to WCW (Hogan, Flair). This was the FIRST Wrestlemania where Hulk Hogan did not appear (some of us were convinced that you CANNOT have a Wrestlemania without Hulk Hogan)! We were left with the likes of Bret, Lex Luger, etc. We still had Macho Man but he had been downgraded to Commentator/part time upper-mid-carder..... Remember some of the "bigger" names on this card hadn't even cracked "main event" status yet (HBK, Razor Ramon). Of course they stole the show, but what was their competition? Guys I loved as "main eventers" were now refs (Piper, Perfect). Yokozuna had run his course by now and we all thought it would be Luger VS. Yoko to FINALLY "finish the story" for Lex Luger - NO WAY they would do a Wrestlemania "Rematch" Yoko VS. Hart AGAIN.... but they did. I was becoming more interested in WCW at the time of WM10 and so this one did not seem up-to-par for me (at the time). History has been a little kinder to WM10 and it's well-liked now. At that time - it seemed like a weak Wrestlemania, at least to me.

I'd say good 2 classics and Bret/Yoko was decent especially considering the previous WM. I'll say 7/10. I gotta agree with you. 2 classics & Bret winning the belt were the highlights.

I don’t care for Bret/Owen I was never a big fan of Owen’s. I mean I liked him but he wasn’t even in my Top 40 let alone in my Top 3 which Bret is. But I did enjoy the feud they had.

I still love this show. I’d give it a B since there’s a lot of “egh” on the card, but Bret/Owen and HBK/Razor still hold up today as all time greats. Bret winning the title was the cherry on top, and while Luger/Yoko wasn’t anything great in the ring, I was a fan of both and enjoyed their feud.

I really enjoyed this WrestleMania, especially after what we got the year before. Madison Square Garden looked great as always. Bret Vs Owen, HBK Vs Razor, Bret Vs Yoko and I actually really enjoyed Savage Vs Crush, that was a fun little feud that they had going on and even though the ending didn't go to plan, I enjoyed it. It's also awesome that Bret gets his WWF Champion moment at a WrestleMania. Edit* Forgot to mention the special guest referees, that was awesome. Mt grandfather is Scottish and he got the biggest kick when Roddy Piper came out. The Bret Hart era was in full effect 👌
