As for Henry, he's someone I've gained alot of respect for over the last decade or more but he didn't really start to come into his own until the Hall of Pain stint. There's been much better wrestlers who weren't world champ in WWE.
I think he's done alright for himself. His faked out retirement speech is still one of the best segments WWE has ever done.

I found Henry entertaining in the Nation and never again after that. He just didn't do it for me....applaud him for the length of his career etc but not someone I ever liked outside the NOD.

Henry had a great real accolade, but not much charisma.
IDK why Vince insisted in humiliating big guys... but imo he was a monster heel and that is it, not real champion material, should have had more mystique and a manager.
Hall of Pain was awesome till he started losing lots.

Have you listened to him on Busted Open Radio? Dude just rambles - un-listenable. Dude has no business being behind a microphone for any type of commentary. He just rambles & makes no sense.

I loved his World Title run & Hall of Pain stuff. Great promo with Cena in 2013 as well.

I think the intent was to give him humiliating skits or gimmicks to force him to quit so they didn't have to pay the huge contract. |
