1995 was not a good year at all for the two mainstream wrestling organizations this side of the world. General interest in pro wrestling was at its lowest since the 80s boom period and it didn't help that the product being presented overall was shockingly bad.
In the WWF, it was the reign of Diesel. I am a huge fan of Nash in real life, but feuds with the likes of Sid and Mabel weren't going to help his cause. It was also the height of absurd gimmicks as you had pirates/teachers/dentists/racecar drivers filling out the roster while legitimate stars such as The Undertaker and Bret Hart were wrapped up in silly midcard feuds most of the year.
Down south in Atlanta, WCW was trying to squeeze every last drop out of Hogan as the ultimate babyface. The creation of Nitro gave them a spark later on, but the long-running angle between Hogan and the Dungeon of Doom cast a stink over the whole company as it was the featured storyline throughout 1995.
I'll side with the WWF, but it's nothing to really brag about. You could at least sense that a shift to a more reality-based, edgier product was happening there as the calendar turned to 1996 although WCW would totally intercept that momentum with the formation of the nWo a few months later.

For me it was still WCW and that really didn’t change until Russo got there. But I stayed with WCW even then because almost all the wrestlers I liked most were still in WCW. It wasn’t until WCW’s last show that I went back to watching WWF live instead of recording it.

i hv to go with a tie on this one but wwf may get the edge due to some great initial in your house cards
i liked things from both and hated things from both
kinda felt like a transition stage for both federations at the time

WWF wins this one for me in 1995
WCW was so cringe then. Especially the January - August era. When Nitro started, things got better. But WWF definitely wins overall for me for 1995.

WCW. Not that either were great, but WCW wins because WWF was doing really bad at this time. Bret was stuck in pointless feuds. Diesel was better as a bad ass, not the white meat baby face they turned him into. They probably had around 8 guys worth watching.

It was definitely not cool to be a wrestling fan for most of that year, but I have to give it to WCW for launching Monday Nitro which changed the business, exposed how bad the WWF was and showed they were taking steps to improve their product.

Ill bring it down to PPV matches...WCW didn't have anything that entertained me like
HBK vs Razor @sslam Bret vs Diesel @ SSeries Bret vs Bulldog @ IYH Seasons Beatings
Now there was some strong stuff on WCWs PPVs too but nothing that I felt was as good as those. BUT I did feel that WCWs TV was better from when Nitro started in August.

WCW was definitely creating "Must See TV" at this time while WWE was mostly an easy pass for me... You just never knew what Bischoff & Nitro were going to pull off....
I was not a fan of the New Gen era; It wasn't until the Attitude Era (Mankind, Stone Cold, The Rock, Mr. McMahon) that I started to regain interest in WWE.
