so this was my 1st and only live PPV i ever saw. my cuz got me and my little brother tickets and we met him there. wow what a spectacle it was. i wasnt even really into wrestling that much by now, but this sure was fun it was at my home town Allstate Arena and had a cool old school tune for the theme music "Big Time" by Peter Gabriel Rating - B Matches: all the matches were decent, the absolute best one was the money in the bank ladder match. that was awesome vince vs micheals was match i wanted to see most and it was great. 2nd best match for sure egde/foley was also great, as was rey/angle/orton match show/kane destroying carlito/masters was awesome too the other matches were decent to good, was hopin for a longer boogeyman match tho as i like him alot and who can forget the playboy pillow match! that was prob my teenage brothers fav match main event was very good and i dont even like HHH. but man they put on a match. crowd went NUTS when Cenas music came on! biggest pop of the night behing Kane so lets here it on wm22 peoples!

This was the last arena Wrestlemania before they started putting it in stadiums the next year. John Cena and Rey Mysterio were the #1 and 2 most popular wrestlers at the time and both guys coming out on top was the right call.

This show at the time did not feel like WrestleMania, they got away with the arena in 20 because it was MSG and in 21 you had the Hollywood theme, but here it just kind of felt a little small time for WrestleMania if that makes sense.
There was some fun stuff here, HBK vs Vince, Foley vs Edge and the triple threat match for the WWE title were all entertaining and I think that they all hold up to this day. I was and am a Cena fan, but that match lasted way too long. The rest of the card was not that great either, Taker vs Henry was brutal, it was one of the weakest MITB matches and that opener!
This is not one of my favorite WrestleMania events that is for sure, but it is so awesome that you were there live, it is probably the kind of show that was way more fun if you were there in person. I have tried to watch this a few times and it just kind of drags for me.

There's enough on the show for me to consider it a good WM but probably wouldn't make a top 10 WM's list for me.

It annoys me to this day that HHH & Cenas entrances were nearly longer than Rey's title winning match.
Cena vs HHH was good but I remember the crowd turning on Cena really badly in this one...1st time it really registered with me.
HBK vs Vince was a blast but I kept expecting to see Bret Hart. Wasn't he meant to be involved but backed out last minute?
really enjoyed Edge vs Foley too. Very important step for Edge. Foley often bemoans his performance here but I think he did just fine.

I feel like this Mania kinda got hard carried by Foley and Edge.

This was the night HHH turned face imo. For the 1st time since 2002 he was getting cheered like a hero while Cena was getting booed out of the building. The whole King of Kings entrance was cool too.
Match of the night however was Foley vs Edge.
