this is another main that gets alot of mixed reviews. it was kinda still the beginning of the attitude era for me, but still had new gen guys/matches so i still liked it. was going to go to this live at the rosemont horizon, but my girlfriend got really sick and had to go the ER that day so i gave my tickets to my neighbor and him and his wife went. that woulda been my 2nd live ppv and mania at that! Rating: C Matches: main event wasnt great but wassnt bad to me either. i luv both taker/sid and looked forward to the match big time. but it coulda been better bret/austin 5 star match and best match of the card! tag title match was kick ass except for the double CO. loved both teams but was really hoping vader/mankind woulda won the belts chicago street fight was good imo HHH vs goldust was fun too and a good match 4 corners match was a decent opener and rock/sultan was ok too so how was wm13 for you guys?

Well, here we go again! I was at this one too! I've been to Mania 2,8,9, and 13.
It was a weird time in the WWF back then, it was just before the attitude era so it was still lame with some of the gimmicks. The "New Blackjacks", the horrible Sultan, Rocky.
I liked the Chicago street fight even though looking at the "hanging" thing they did now, wow, that was in poor taste. Still it was fun having the LOD tear up everything.
What else can be said about the Austin/Hart match? Without a doubt one of the top three matches I've ever seen live. The double turn was very cool and just the look on Austin with all that blood.
The main event was SLOOOOOOOW. There was no excitement in that whatsoever. People were very bored with it and I'm surprised a lot of people didn't leave during that.
It's an unmemorable show for the most part. Sucks that Chicago got the crappiest of the Manias lol.

Yay for me because of Bret vs Austin & the street fight. Bret vs Austin is a top 5 match for me.

Austin Vs Hart is one of the greatest matches of all time so this show gets a pass based on that alone.
I also love the street fight. I was a big Ahmed Johnson fan and I always loved the LOD and they looked so bad ass.
Rest of the card.... Meh

I didn't care for the Bret/Owen match, I get it that people like it, but I just didn't. The best match was Diesel vs Razor because we saw Walter Payton. I was at the softball game the day before in Evanston. I got first row for Survivor Series in 89 and that was an awesome show to see. I had fun there. I didn't get to the Wrestling Classic, wasn't that on a Tuesday? But I did see the house show where Roddy and Orton fought Hogan and Orndorff. Man, those were the best times.

Midpack, a tad below average thanks largely to Hart-Austin. Lots off sloppy Attitude antics and mentality but still some uninspiring New Gen talents remaining, a weird in-between dichotomy that leads to the show feeling disjointed and a bit dated.
Sid-Taker a slow, plodding big man spectacle with Bret being the biggest dummy on the planet, with Shawn at the desk eating it up. Street Fight was literal anarchy. Smiley white meat Rocky Maivia enjoying all the babyface shine in the world that'd make Roman Reigns blush. Tag title match felt a bit inconsequential.
On the good, Submission match. And awesome Mania debut for Chyna.
