Re: the Austin shirt, I would be very surprised if the boxy appliquΓ© of the shirt wasn't just for the proto. Ditto for Henna being in the world-less NWO logo tee.

i like all the choices EXCEPT for the straight re-release Bossman. i get that hes a sort-of pricey figure on the secondary market, but as another member mentioned; not cool to do a re-release figure in a BAF wave.

I've seen nwo Vincent today. Is he in this line? Yes, future lineup. The line has now brought us NWO Disciple, Curt Hennig and now Vincent. There's a few more that could be introduced in this line eg Dusty Rhodes, Miss Elizabeth, Ted Dibiase, VK Wallstreet, Brian Adams, Stevie Ray. Big Bubba Rogers of the legends line, stick a NWO shirt on it. I don't know about Scott Norton though.

Wasn't a fan of his NWO days personally.

Honestly, if I can find this entire set, I may just get it. The only ones I'm REALLY jonesing for are the DDP and Commissioner Michaels but the rest of the figures are good enough I'll happily buy them to complete HBK.
If I can find them.
And as for the shirt, I'm gonna have to assume that's a prototype shirt that was thrown together for the showing. There's no way they would do that for the final release.
Also, when did they release the last Big Boss Man AE Elite? It's been awhile ago now, right? I mean, I have it, I don't really need another, but I'm thinking it was long enough ago that I understand the rerelease.
That said, I am throwing my hat into the mix for "They don't have enough talent signed to sustain this line." Really, unless those Headbangers are part of this line (Which I doubt, but isn't impossible), and they start throwing ECW names in the mix as a sort of "oh by the way, they were around too" thing, I don't see this line being nearly as prolific and viable as they expect it to be. Not unless they start signing a lot more talent. I know Chyna figures don't sell but if they wanted to fill a spot (God I hope not) they could do the IC Champ Chyna we all want in this line. And again, Headbangers wouldn't be a bad fit either. The three of them would be three of the four spots in a wave, you just need a fourth and a BAF and that wave would probably sell like crazy........
.... provided you could actually friggin find it.

I donβt think I would have ever noticed that Hennig has the prototype nWo shirt unless somebody pointed it out
You can throw it on your 2002 Kevin Nash if you want, when they took the WWF nWo renders they still hadnβt printed new nWo shirts so Hogan/Hall/Nash had to use ones they had and that was the only one Nash had left

Hoping for an alternate-serious DDP headscan. No clue why Jakks and now Mattel think he was βsmiley-2002 DDPβ his whole career.

Hoping for an alternate-serious DDP headscan. No clue why Jakks and now Mattel think he was βsmiley-2002 DDPβ his whole career. I have been saying this since the Jakks days. A serious DDP head (with a decent likeness of course) would look SO great on the new MNW jeans DDP. I always think the DDP intro video from the WCW Thunder PS1 game is a good illustration of his WCW character, focused, intense, SERIOUS.

Series 4 and The Legend Hulk Hogans are the best of show so far no doubt. I really feel like this series is hitting it's stride with 3 and 4.

I understand the desire for a "serious"DDP, and truthfully I want one to be made for the people here who have wanted one for so long, but let's not make it sound like DDP smiling was only a 2002 WWE thing. Smiling and etc. was just as big a part of his WCW gimmick as being "serious." Part of why he got so over in 97/98 was because, to paraphrase one of his catchphrases, he was consistently "jacked up" by the fans. Again, not saying he wasn't serious too, nor am I saying they shouldn't make a serious head, but the smiling heads haven't been out of character for his WCW run.

I'm sorry, but re-releasing figures like the Boss Man in the MNW line is complete bull crap. Especially a line that has BAF in it. This line in general has been a massive disappointment
However...That DDP is awesome and the I love the idea of a Curt Hennig. So this will be the first time in this line that I'll buy more than one figure from a series.

Its money mattel... lets go Evil Crush is one of my top 5 most wanted figs. Those attires were so cool Piggybacking on this. Absolutely a top want. And ever Crush look was toyetic. The man is underappreciated in wwe. Hall of Fame deserving. Demolition Crush I would buy another version, Kona Crush (multiple looks possible), evil Crush (also multiple looks), jailbird Crush, DOA Crush, Nwo Brian Adams. Yes yes yes. Perfect for retros and superstars too.

Great set, but I think it totally supports what many on this board have been saying - that Mattel doesn't have the names to support this line - that they're already repeating Austin in the 4th wave. DDP and NWO Hennig are complete "Yes" for me! Maybe even Both DDP's if I'm able to find them! I was not a fan of this version of Boss Man so probably not.... and I just don't know if I need this Austin. He looks great, I just have a lot of Austins in my collection. If any figure line deserves a rerelease this one may be it. Gonna be even harder to get these upcoming series. Based on this last go around start searching a month before the shipper is supposed to be put out. Ddp and curt hennig are a must. Hope we find em brotha! If i find extras i'll keep ya in mind

When I envision "serious DDP" the first image that actually pops in my head is his WWF debut when he revealed himself as the stalker. Understandably, I see the desire for a more neutral expression, but I don't think these smiling scans exclusively scream "that's a good thing" DDP. π

I really want to enjoy this line, but having a straight up re-release and a re-paint really sours me. This is an era where they have a TON of guys under contract, lots of gimmicks and looks that haven't been made, and with it's limited run you can get away with some deep cuts without clogging retail.

Yeah, I think they are going overboard on the re-releases. You had the UE greatest hits and the elite greatest hits line, now you have a Legends Greatest Hits line, the Vault line for Ringside, and then they're going to put re-releases in other lines, that's too much. If they just had one re-release UE line and one re-release elite line a year, that would be perfect. It wouldn't be overkill.
