Well we got some answers on the Q&A regarding the earlier versions of the Steiner's but that doesn't answer why Mattel have not included at least a late 90's Scott Steiner with either the biker shorts or singlet top into the MNW's line. I've been holding off on buying Scott Steiner until any late 90's looks get made.

I really hope that when they are done, they get chases. I know many of you want their WWF look (specifically WM IX) but I'm personally wanting early 90s WCW looks.

I bet Bill will find a spot for them right when their contract is up.
Mattel literally said in Dec 2022 that they were already working on multiple looks across multiple lines. There’s been several guys signed after that we’ve seen figs of. We get Muta with a new torso and everything, nothing against Muta, and there’s a slight slight chance he was signed before the Steiners, but I doubt it. So is it another case of Bill putting the effort/ time into his favs?

I never really got bothered about part choices unless things were EGREGIOUSLY wrong (Rhyno Boulder sholders, or Hearts on the actual BOOT of a Shawn Michaels...) Just give me a reasonable facsimile of early 90s Steiners and I'm good. I wouldn't care if they didn't have double Jointed elbows, it actually took me a year to recognize that change...and I'm not even embarrassed to say that. |

Some collectors will sift through hundreds of pics and videos just looking for something made in figure form. I'm happy if it looks like something a character could've worn, perhaps at a house show. And as for double-jointed elbows, I think most of us don't really need the extra articulation if our figures just stand there on the shelf. I do a few poses, like Lex Luger's arm flex or HBK's split flex, but most of my guys could be hard plastic like WCW Galoob and you'd never know. |

Really don't want them as Ultimates. Have to agree. Since drop-down hips became a thing, it's completely ruined Ultimates for me. |

Feels risky the “game” Mattel is playing holding on the Steiner’s. This tactic has failed in the last, although I’m sure it’s been quite successful in many more instances to be fair.
My guess, and Mattel could never confirm this, is they (Mattel) were asked (or told) to be in a holding pattern until the fallout of Rick’s little outburst last year had settled or was resolved.
I think we’ll see shirts or something (of the Steiner Brothers) on the shop first. Nothing on there currently for Rick, and Scott is limited to say the least.
A SDCC with Steiner’s and a returning Macho would be very cool. Maybe even Sting (the major A lister missing from UEs if you ask me).
But that’s me building things up again!
Just hope if/when we do get Steiner’s, they are UE and from Mania 9.

I highly doubt it has anything to do with Rick’s incident. I mean they were just featured on last nights WWE treasures where the WWE paid $9000 to get Rick’s head gear, original Letterman’s jacket and Scott’s chain mail head gear. So I doubt the WWE cares. I just think they are waiting for a 2-pack spot which is frustrating seeing how popular of a want they are. Yet they just fast tracked 6 figures of CM Punk who’s had one match and is injured yet again. But if they are tooling new body parts for them I guess it’s worth the wait.
