I'm dying for the Steiners but if they're making us wait then they should be done correctly. Bith need updated torso singlet molds. They need the proper cuts on the legs of the singlets (no painting it on)...give us Michigan themed/color jackets. Maybe even give Rick a removable headgear.

As long as the steiners get to retail and they are in iconic attires and the part choices are good, then the wait wont matter. Hopefully mattel makes it worth the wait i think they're the next Ringside ultimate 2-pack. the fact that Tom seems to know something makes me think they're already planned for some sort of Ringside exclusive. |

The new tooling doesn’t make sense. The singlet they gave Rick was new, the torso & arms on Scott were new.
Multiple new signings (after the Steiners) have new tooling.

If I had to guess, they ate going to be in a future wave of the elite tag team series that the Dudley’s are in. I wouldn’t be surprised if they are the next ultimate tag set after the Outsiders.
Also banking on a Big Poppa Pump ultimate are in a MNW wave soon.

Both of them are gonna have the Rick Steiner tooling except maybe Scott will get the Scott Steiner arms.
But if they really want to heel it up, Rick will be a repaint of the first Rick Steiner figure, but Scott will be a repaint of the first Scott Steiner figure with a soft goods singlet. I actually don’t know if the more heelish move would be giving Scott a soft goods singlet and not Rick so it doesn’t match or if just painting a singlet onto the existing Scott torso would be worse. I think I would genuinely prefer a painted-on singlet to a soft goods singlet.

Mattel still doesn’t have a singlet that captures Rick’s barrel like chest with the U shaped singlet and same with Scotty. With the wait, we also need them to have molded biker trunks. I don’t get why certain figures have molded biker trunks and then Van Adam, Kurt Angle have cheaply painted on legs. It just looks bad. I really want Mattel to give us an Ultimate of the ‘99 Rick. That jacket could use interchangeable arms. Regardless, I’m excited at the possibilities. |
