So what your overall thoughts regarding WWEs current success? WWE have been making more money than ever plus WM40 recently smashed every metric...
It seems like around 2021/2022 is when things got cool again & they really started smashing records... 2023 is where things got even better, 2024 is already booming within this new era...wow.
I believe they sold out somewhere between 19-21 shows in a row within the last month or so...countless RAWs,SDs, WM40 on both nights...insane stuff.
Many of their PLEs have been smashing records in regards to attendance, viewership , social media numbers, etc. RAW & SD have both been getting about 10-20K fans each week...very impressive numbers.
Not to ever compare to the Attitude/MNW/Nitro era (my fav era), but I must say that this era has been unquestionably booming & very successful. A boom period in the modern era.

There is no doubt that TKO, HHH, Rock etc have really turned WWE around and this has been a real hot period for the company, but will it be long term?
WM season is over, The Rock is gone so can Cody & Priest carry the company? Cody's story is over so will fans get bored and turn? Also, merely minutes after Priest won the World Title people already started making Undertaker jokes about him online.
Seth, Becky & Roman are currently on a hiatus and Ripley is on the shelf so that's a lot of top stars absent for Post WM

I'd say it's great for the talent, but endeavor doesn't exactly like paying talent appropriately so we'll see how that plays out long term. Fingers crossed for the wrestlers though, they're the ones that should be benefiting financially. I know Cody got bank but I'm worried about the midcard guys and gals etc.
Disappointing for me, because while the in ring has gotten better from the Vince days, it is still really watered down from what it should/could be. I have no interest in 45 minutes straight of talking and barely any actual wrestling. The success reinforces them continuing this way. But, I suppose that's good cuz there's too much stuff out there I want to watch already that I don't have time for. There's clearly a market for this, so great for those that enjoy it. The ones that aren't jerks at least.

I feel like they are doing a lot more right than they are wrong. There were some recent years where it was just hot garbage.

As someone who fell out of a lot of wrestling in 2019 at 32 years old after watching as long as I could remember, it's cool to see it hot again and it's been nice to be able to enjoy it casually and enjoy the ride during a hot period.

I work from home and I am watching RAW as I write this and "fun" is probably the best way to describe the WWE over the last several months. I had become a super jaded fan over the last decade or so, it was like when I would watch it was out of habit. The whole thing felt so sterile and lacked personality, but they have somehow turned it around and it has become fun again.
It is not a perfect show and I do not think it ever will be, but there are far more things that I like these days than I do not like.

Its well deserved. Its as if they hit the reset button after Vince left and its paying off well for them. Everything feels like must watch television. There are multiple factors that have come into play but the fact that they all hit around roughly the same time was the shot in the arm WWE needed. You had Triple H taking over, Endeavour buying WWE and the shakeup of the wrestling industry that AEW caused in its creation.
The company is firing on all cylinders at the moment but now that Wrestlemania season is over, we'll see how they can continue it.

Also, merely minutes after Priest won the World Title people already started making Undertaker jokes about him online. Seth, Becky & Roman are currently on a hiatus and Ripley is on the shelf so that's a lot of top stars absent for Post WM This is literally something I'm worried about. In the span of a week, they lost four of their biggest main eventers, three of which were the world champions two weeks ago. Priest I don't think is gonna come close to carrying Raw as a main eventer, not when they just lost Rhea as the driving force of TJD to play off of. Cody is the biggest star of the company but you can't stand a tower with one leg, plus, I've already seen evidence on social media of people turning on him hard. (Yes, it happens that fast.) Sami and Jey were once top stars, as was Kevin, but they're all stuck firmly in the midcard right now. And Jimmy just got thrown in a ditch where the only thing they have left for him is to put him back with his brother again. The Bloodline is in the rebuilding phase and time will tell if Solo has what it takes to drive the faction without his brothers or his cousin. Bayley *could* carry the women's division, but god knows they have no interest in letting her. Liv isn't any more ready for the main event than she was when she was actual champion. If they try to make Jade too big a star too fast, people are gonna wise up VERY fast to how green she still is. Charlotte is still injured, she can't help. And Tiffany is good, but she was just called up, I don't think it would be the best idea to make her the star of the women's division immediately. Not until the main roster only viewers warm up to her first. So really, the WWE is in a huge pickle right now, especially going into the draft. All of the "Top Picks" are either injured or no longer Top Picks that you would build a show around. We'll see if they can keep the momentum going with so many gaps in the roster. Only time will tell

and barely any actual wrestling. You know that nothing in “pro wrestling” is “actual wrestling” right?

The last time people were talking about a boom period in wrestling coming, we ended up getting 2 full years of every Raw being centered around HHH and Stephanie McMahon.

I do wish there was a little more focus on in ring quality.
I created that thread about five favorite matches over the last FIVE years...and it was genuinely a struggle for me to put my list together. I had to google to try and remember some of the matches, and I've sat through pretty much every PLE.
Just my opinion.

I still have my doubts how "hot" wrestling is right now.
Until I see a non-wrestling fan where a "Acknowledge Me" shirt, or an "American Nightmare" shirt, or a "Yeet!" shirt, then I can't justify wrestling being "hot" again.
The wrestling fans are enjoying the WWE product right now, but during the late 90s we had actual non wrestling fans wearing NWO, DX and Austin 3:16 shirts because it was a trend to do so, without even really knowing what the hell it was.
So to me, time will truly tell.
